Extremely lovely place and staff. Quiet, clean, homely and authentic. A pool and hot tub outlooking the mountains. Great hikes in the area. Nejma and Fatima cook delicious food every day, that is better than many of the high end Moroccan restaurants. Comfortable rooms. Recommend.

We loved our stay at Touda. Ahmed was incredibly hospitable and made us feel at home - you will never be left hungry! There are some great walks into the mountains which start and end at the eco-lodge (with packed lunches prepared by Touda). We look forward to returning sometime in the future

Touda is a treasure, a gift offering you a chance to immerse yourself, or not, in the high Atlas Mountains. The property is nestled at one end of a valley and overlooks a village. You can explore the village and the nature that surrounds you.

I stayed 3 nights and savored the tranquility, nature sounds and amazing night sky - hello Milky Way. I enjoyed a solo leisure earlier morning walk around the property.

Oh yeah, my room was very comfortable, clean with an amazing view. The food is delicious. And the staff will show up however you ask. They can coordinate activities or leave you in peace if you wish. I chose the latter and they were available the moment I needed anything.

I am thankful they made it so easy (helping to arrange transportation) for me to visit such a wonderful place and meet special people.

Inshallah, I will return.

Such a magical and calming gem, hidden in the Atlas Mountains overlooking a valley of greenery. The staff was welcoming and did everything to make us feel at home. The food was delicious and abundant. The hikes from the lodge are beautiful and fun, and the cold swimming pool makes for a great cold plunge. Even the 4h drive from Marrakech was so worth it, the landscape of the Atlas Mountains is just stunning.

Wow. What can I say...The staff at Touda are friendly, attentive, kind and thoughtful. They made us so welcome and tended to our needs without a fuss. From doing our laundry to making us tea and donuts in the afternoon. Amazing people.

The owner, Said, was fantastic with communication, via WhatsApp, from the moment I first contacted him. Speedy responses and helpful with SIM cards and gpx files for hiking.

The lodge is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We stayed in a deluxe room, which was fantastic and had an amazing view.

The food was really, really good. Wholesome Moroccan home cooking and a different meal each night (we stayed for 5 nights). They also catered to my fiancee, who is gluten free.

The nature surrounding Touda is stunning. A valley surrounded on all sides by dramatic, snow-capped peaks. We did several hikes and runs from the lodge.

One final thing - the way the lodge operates from a social perspective was so good. There are a couple of large tables to eat at, which means breakfast and dinner are social occasions, where you can get to know other guests. This made for a lovely experience, meeting new people from all over the world. During the day, we would go our separate ways, for walks or relaxation. Then reconvene in the evening for dinner and good conversation.

Loved it! Well done Touda. Missing you already.

Very beautiful and quiet even in the colder off-season. By far the best place we stayed at during our Morocco winter trip . My fiancée and I ended up spending the full day we had there hiking up to the ice lake, relaxing with the amazing view, befriending their cute cat, and relaxing in the Nordic bath! I would absolutely recommend.

An ecolodge situated in a most strategic location, on a high altitude angle overseeing the entite unspoilt valley. In fact, binoculars were places on the terrace in order to savor the breathtaking view's details not only consisting of the atlas hills and mountain, but also the amazigh houses and groves. The hosts Saiid and Ahmed are welcoming and vivacious. Arabic, Amazigh, French, and English speakers, we felt right at home in their multicultural presence and guidance. We were dazzled by our superior room, elengantly yet authentically decorated, and boasting a panoramic view like no other. The dinner was delicious and the hike we did was worthwhile. One of the best stays of our trip in Morocco (my husband mentioned that it may even be the best;) Thank you touda!

So this is the one i was waiting to rate. Because it deserves a very good one due to the effort put in this place and also the location. We always come back talking about this place & the owner Said when we think about our holiday in the Atlas Mountain. Photographer , ex tourist guide, Said is passionated about many things about this area and he is doing so much for the community surrounding this place. So inspiring. I’m going to start with the view which is stunning, from left to right with 2 mountains with eternal snow. The green valley for agriculture is gorgeous and peaceful. And the typical villages free from tourists makes this location a piece of heaven on earth. It’s also an ideal place for trekking. We spent hours being hypnotised and drowned by the scenery where your eyes can stop looking at details. With shepherds bringing lambs back and forward from the mountain. Kids playing in fields together far from all technology. The perfect fresh air from the mountain filling up your lungs far from urban pollution. This place is offering everything you need. Hammam warmed up with wood fire, home made black soap from olives. Nordic bath also heated with wood fire and looking down on the mountains and valley, swimming pool filtered with plants, no chemicals. Even the carpets in the living room are made out of recycled clothes, and the walls are decorated with very nice photographies from Said - the perfect place to isolate yourself if you want to read or just empty your mind resting contemplating those amazing views. So relaxing. So many details to talk about. The brooms are made with little bushes, which are also used to drain the water from the flat roofs and walls of the house, made from a mixture of soil and straw. It’s not a luxurious place compares to other palaces we have been to during this trip but the staff makes you feel like your are in a palace. There is a very homely feeling, the staff is very relaxed and very helpful. The owner and the man in charge of running the place, Ahmed, are always doing something to make the place a special one. Home cooking. Growing their own fruits and veggies in the back of the house in their green house. They produce their own apple juice and delicious jams - the lemon jam is the best one I have ever tried. Both are served at breakfast and apple juice is complementary in the bedroom. Local honey, fig jam that you can buy from the little shop that they have on the premises, all made locally form vegetable or fruit grown on site cooked by the women in the kitchen .
Room: we took a room with a very special view and it was very special. Superb bedroom with a very nice bathroom and maybe the best shower we had in Morocco - so spacious and warm. Even radiators are warmed from olives bits and pieces left after pressing olives to make olive oil. The fermentation is creating the eat for the central eating. Well so many things to say and compliment. I’m not a the best person to write reviews but I really felt I needed to write a detailed one as I was really impressed by the concept and the motivation of the team. Said also gave us really good tips to continue our journey in the Atlas Mountain. If you are lucky to be here when Said is here, talk to him and ask him questions as he is a really nice guy and passionate about all his projects. Hope I made it justice and I would put 6 stars on Google if it was possible. Would have loved to stay longer. By the way, the lemon jam jars went through customs and I enjoy it every morning.

We spent 3 nights at Touda Ecolodge.
We were welcomed by Ahmed and a great local team with a permanent smile and precious attention.
The rooms are very clean, food is lovely made with local ingredients and surprisingly very tasty, and you feel as good as home!
The staff will help you to organize your several types of visits in the region with great pleasure and precise advice.
Everything is done for your comfort.
One of our favorite places in Morocco. If you like nature, it is definitely a must visit.
Said, the host, did all his best for our stay there.
You will also find bio products locally made such as jams and apple juice...
Enjoy!!

We arrived at Touda Ecolodge on Monday having booked two nights, so when we left Saturday after embracing Ahmed and the rest of the staff along with multiple hugs from Saïd I had to compose a review.

I don't ever write reviews, I'm just not moved to do so. I even hesitate to write this review because Touda is a gem and we're from a small town in the Rocky Mountains and we know what can happen to hidden gems once discovered.

I've read plenty of the reviews, folks will mention the hospitality, the beautiful views, incredible hikes. They failed to capture the love and warmth we felt here. The food isn't simply local, they grow it in their greenhouse next to the driveway. The farming and preservation processes that Saïd, Brahim and the staff meticulously developed for Touda is beyond impressive for any small farm let alone an ecolodge. Homemade meals in foreign countries like the ones prepared by Fatima and Nejma are the stuff of travelers dreams.

If I could leave you with anything it's that there's a certain emotional intelligence in the hearts and minds and deeds of the people here. Saïd oozes with that quality and it's contagious amongst the staff.

For those of you who will come and spend a night here, this review is not for you; but, those who seek an experience, Zawyat Oulmzi in the Ait Bougoumez Valley has some Imazighen (don't call them Berber) who will treat you like family and make you feel at home.

Shukran,
Blake and Tessa (Teresa)

we spent two nights in the traditionally built and extremely cosy and practically furnished Touda Eco lodge and we were very sorry that our schedule did not allow for another day or two. situated at the end of the fertile ait bougmez  ("happy valley") it offers fantastic views into the green valley with its apple orchards (yes - on an altitude of 2200 m!) and the peaks of the high atlas. being 200 km away from marrakesch there luckily was not much distraction to keep us from the things essential here. if not simply enjoying the silence and taking in the stunning scenery we were learning about the life of the berber on an educational walk into the valley, taking a plunge into the pool, getting to know berber recepies, enjoying great local dishes, browsing through the handycraft shop, taking long naps in the company of atlas the cat and we didn't even have the time to do a proper hike into the mountains. the 4 h+ drive from marrakesch to the touda lodge was worth every km and we will gladly come back if there is an occasion.
thank you saïd and staff!

We enjoyed our stay at the lodge. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the rooms were comfortable. The location at the top of the hill overlooking the valley is spectacular.
