Incredible fossils from the Devonian period during the Paleozoic Era. This place is a must see for geologists for their collection of highly preserved fossils from millions of years ago. The best part is, you can buy anything you like as souvenirs 😀

One of fossil and mineral stone saller shop in Erfoud (Arfoud) city in Morocco. In large area they cut & patina & sculpt & sale their mineral rocks. You can buy 450 million year age amonite & trilobite & calamari fossils, shark dish fossil and some mineral stones. Cheaper than the product purchased

We loved the stone so much we canceled our
Home Depot granite order for our kitchen
remodel. We bought multiple slabs and had
them shipped to Toronto. We were lucky we had the dimensions of the countertops to give them so all cutting, polishing and sealing done in Morocco. Shipping took awhile but Rafa was fabulous to work with. The big bonus was that it was cheaper than the granite from the Depot,
including the shipping! One caveat - local custom is olive oil for sealing. However we found that it is not adequate for sealing so had go to commercial product

Great place to see some amazing fossils. I had a hard time not buying out the entire shop. I also really enjoyed the behind the scenes tour of their equipment and process for cutting and polishing the fossils and stone that contains them. Sure wish I could’ve bought the sink!!

It's looks really special and it's supposed to be the only place in the worl were you find marble with fossils inside.
Ah but it's more like a shop then a museum, but still worth the visit.

Beware of the tourist trap! Aside from the fact that the only reason tours bring you here is to entice you to spend your disposable income, this place is awesome. They hand carve sinks, tables, murals and an assortment of other household items from slabs of rock that once sat at the bottom of the ocean hundreds of millions of years ago. All of the slabs are filled with fossils of cephalopods or squids or jellyfish or starfish. Wicked cool place to stop and gaze into Morocco's past.

We bought a granite fossilized coffee table that was absolutely beautiful. It arrived well packaged and without any problems. Would love to purchase more since everything was a work of art. You need to put out a catalog.

We took a short tour of the work area where we saw every step of the process of taking the raw stone and turning it into beautiful pieces. Our group bought a variety of small items and they took great care to carefully wrap everything. I am obsessed with getting a dining room table - they will ship it DHL white glove service.

Great learning experience. Bought a fossilized map of Africa. Was going to buy a coffee table, but my friend beat me to it. Didn’t want anyone thinking I got the idea from him (lol).
