The best place for a visit in the area, ancient castle is fairly well preserved, a nice theater hall inside, helpful local people, beautifull garden around.

It was an "majas kafeinicu dienas" event during my visit and there was a cafe inside cozy castle courtyard. Atmospheric music and authentic entourage was a nice addition to a cup of coffee and pancakes with strawberry jam

A secret gem! Not always available on Booking.com so don't hesitate to call directly for an overnight stay. A separate kitchen for self-service. Rooms give a royal feeling :)

Located in a beautiful park territory, with an amazing view to a storytelling sight. Kind personnel, neatly renovated rooms and exact amount of softness in the beds. Very best experience of being in this area.

The mere fact that the castle is in full use nowadays enthralls. Plus, the local guide (who can be found in the infocenter right near the main entrance) is very talkative and knows a lot.
