Villa Santa Hotel

Beautiful hotel tucked into the woods near Cesis! We absolutely loved every minute of our stay. The spa was so relaxing and our dinner at the restaurant was incredible!! One of the best meals we’ve had in Latvia - we would come back here just to eat dinner again for sure. Breakfast was also incredibly delicious with so many different options to suit any taste. Highly recommend Villa Santa - we already can’t wait to come back!

Stayed for two days 12/13 September. Superb quiet property. Away from town. U do need your own car. But other than that and need for better housekeeping everything was perfect. Specially helpful attitude of all the staff.

Breakfast was amazing! Pre-order and select the dishes. Everything is utterly delicious. Tableware, utensils, everything is eye-catching and selected with good taste.

Rooms are spacious, well decorated and equipped with everything you need. Villas have a mini kitchen in the common space to brew some tea or coffee, additional utensils, plates, etc.

We haven't visited the spa, but it looks amazing and we will definitely come back for a weekend.

Even though the hotel is located on the very edge of Cēsis, it is a small town, so you can walk to all the sights in less than half an hour. You can also take a picturesque walk over to the national park.

O can highly recommend it for a romantic weekend or family holidays.

Very nice, tasteful, stylish place: shower accessories from Fragonard say it all. Great breakfast and dinner place too. Only downside is the proximity to a busy road which ruins the charm of being tucked awayin the woods...

We stayed here twice in the last two months. Once we stayed for a weekend and we loved it so much we decided to stay for a whole week. The best decision ever. The buildings are quite new and very stylish. Staff is extremely gentle, attentive and respectful of your privacy. Our room was the superior suite and it was big and comfortable enough for the two of us to live and work for the whole week. The location of the hotel is fantastic. It’s in the middle of the forest, so you can spend the whole day walking around through many different paths, or by the river. The hotel is also 35 min walking distance from the city of Cesis and 20 min walking distance from the closest supermarket. The restaurant of the hotel is one of the best in Latvia, even though they don’t have an extensive menu. We’ve also visited the spa. It’s very new, it has dry and wet sauna and an outstanding view to the forest.
We loved our experience here. The only thing I’d improve is to use a double duvet instead of two simple ones for the bed. But we are definitely coming back!

Excellent venue. Rooms are well appointed and finished to a high standard.
Service is very very good.
We booked a massage in the afternoon in the on site spa and were suitably pampered and relaxed for our meal in the evening.
Restaurant serves contemporary local cuisine at very good prices. Breakfast was served in the room for €5per person extra (breakfast was included in room price). The breakfast itself was plentiful and consisted of an omelette and continental breakfast selection with fruit juice and coffee.
My partner has family in Latvia and we visit at least once a year, so with this in mind we will be looking to spend at least one night here on our next visit. Highly recommended.

Relaxing and tranquil setting. Amazing facilities. Restaurant a bit adventurous with flavours which are quite niche. Overall really enjoyed it there and would love to come back.

It is not the easiest place to find , especially if it is your first trip to Latvia and it is raining. Once you come off of the main road the entrance is on the left along an unpaved road.

Driving up to the hotel it looks impressive. All three of the buildings looked like they were brand new with no sign of weathering. It has been renovated very well.

In keeping with the hotels relaxed atmosphere, reception is an ordinary desk situated to the right as you enter the hotel. The staff all speak very good English, were very helpful and answered all of my questions (including where to go nearby for a quick walk).

My room was on the first floor (or second floor if you don't believe in ground floor level) of the Grey (middle) building. The room was large with a double bed (very comfortable) and a very nice sofa. The bathroom was a good size with a lovely heated floor which you can adjust as you might like. No bath in my room but the shower was huge with two different heads which you could use according to preference.

Wi-Fi was a bit non-existent but if you use the booster in the TV, the signal becomes really good. I had no issues with it while I was there.

The restaurant is in the main building and the hotel recommends you make a reservation. There is now an English Menu available and the food I had was quite lovely and very reasonably priced.

My only gripes are that you do tend to get muddy shoes if it is raining (even just walking between buildings) and the soundproofing could be a little better but I only really noticed that when someone was blasting music out at 1:20 in the morning. That was stopped pretty quickly though.

Luxury one another level. Beautiful buildings, location and services.
We had a very enjoyable evening meal and an outstanding breakfast.
