Rakši ZOO

Is not first time to visit Rakši Zoo in Latvia 🇱🇻 four 4⃣ years ago i visited for first time, now is my second time visiting the Rakši ZOO.
Of course i’m always happy 😊 and i really enjoyed visiting the zoo.
I recommend it to everyone who will visit Latvia 🇱🇻

We only had an hour, but this Zoo is a place you can spend an hour or a full day, in my opinion. I was a bit scared of some of the animals who were running around freely, but that was just me. Had a great time here!

Absolutely fun loving place, I loved every bit of it. A lot lovely friendly animals are there, just cute funny and adorable. You can feed them, ride on the camels and take your fav llamas or alpacas for a nice walk, the person who was taking care of them were really sweet and lovely also the two guys with the camels. In the entrance you can buy tickets for a very small price and food to feed the animals. There is a cafe and a hotel if you want to stay for the weekends. We didn't stay but sure would love to. Over all its a lovely place for all animal lovers. We will visit again.

Excellent place to stay for a weekend. In the mornings and evenings before the zoo opens or after it closes, you get the place to yourself and you can walk around freely. Just make sure you don’t feed the animals. They are well fed and they really don’t need you to feed them.

The hotel itself is new and beautiful. Breakfast on the terrace looking out at the zoo before it opens is something quite special.

Perfect zoo to visit for all family members, kids had a lot of fun

Absolutely amazing place for all family special with kids ! You can feed, pet and ride alpacas, camels (from 7+ years) and lamas ! This awesome place have restaurant were you can try ice cream from camel milk ! Highly recommend! We will come back definitely!

Very nice place. Animals are friendly and most of them you can pet. It was my first time to pet a camel! :)
Souvenir shop is a little bit let down but camel milk ice cream is something to try.
If you like animals then I recommend this place! We found this place by accident and we are really happy that we visited the place.

Great place for kids and grownups, very positive vibes, animals in close proximity and you can buy affordable snack to feed animals from your hand. Nice couple of hours spent gaaranteed.

Amazing family experience. So interactive, animals are greeting people at the entrance. Do recommend to buy the animal feed with the ticket.

Fantastic place for kids and family. There is plenty of different animals you can look, touch and feed. Also it is possible to ride camels (from 7+ years), take the donkey ride, walk with lamas and drive with small electric cars. Lamas and alpakas are very friendly and some of them are walking free. Also some rabbits, fishes, coats, sheeps.

It was amazing. Animals are really cute. You can pet any animal there. Zebra, donkey, camel, why, goat, sheep, alpaca.

A great place to drive in. you can walk, talk, pet beautiful animals. I am sure that children will also be very interested!

The animals are very friendly and can be fed and petted. But be careful to dress accordingly as some of the small goats will follow you like dogs and might jump on you. Besides the goats, we were also followed by a cute alpaca baby, a sheep and rabbits. Even the camels and lamas are friendly. The lemurs are not agraid of people and will take food straight from the hand but are also very curios.

Very good place, definitely go there. Great day out for family... kids will love it.

Yesterday we had a trip to Rakši - an open-air zoo, located on the territory of the Gauja National Park (Latvia).🌲🏞 If you love nature and everything connected with the camels, llamas and alpacas, then it's a right place for you to go.🐫🤗 It's about 1h40 trip by car from Riga. You can interact with animals and feed them. There's also a cafe, where you can try pancakes with camel milk! 🤤🥞 (to be honest we didn't feel a big difference). Starting from April 21st (at least that's the date for this year), you can also ride a camel.
Nice place to visit, especially if you have kids (kids-oriented).

Interesting place to visit with kids. Llamas are super cute and friendly. There is a special food for sale that you can get and feed them.

Kids will love it. Friendly stuff, good food. I took soup and it was realy good

Beautiful place to rest with kids and family, but 4 hours wasnt enough for us.
