Pilsberģu krogs, viesnīca un restorāns

I visited this hotel during my solo motorcycle trip across Kurzeme. I was staying in the tent during this trip, but this one was exception and it was totally worth it. Very-very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very good planned - enough space for all my soft panniers and motorcycle clothes. The room and the hotel itself was very authentic in vary positive way. There was good bathroom which at first sight looked small, but with my height 190 cm it was very optimal at the end. Yes, there were only 5-6 TV programs, but who needs that when you have so spectacular seashore just in 5 minutes walk. I was able to park my motorcycle right under the windows. Very nice breakfast - I would suggest to take this as option as well.

This is place is perfect. A beautiful garden, good food, breakfast as it should be, friendly people. Extraordinary rooms. Everything’s made with love for details.

Had lunch at restaurant, really fantastic fish, recommend to everyone. Waitress is really welcoming and attentive. 5 stars without a doubt.

On our trip through Latvia and Lithuania we had an overnight stay at Pilsbergu krogs, a wonderful old guesthouse at the Latvian coast. We had a nice room in the wooden old building, with a comfortable renovated bathroom.
From Pilsbergu krogs it's only a few hundred meter walk to the beautiful beach at Jurkalne.
And we enjoyed our breakfast in the traditional café/restaurant, also renovated in a very good way, with modern paintings on the wall.
The service was great, very friendly staff.
Unfortunately we didn't have the chance to enjoy dinner here due to a public holiday in Latvia. And unfortunately our holidays were over. So, we have to come back to Jurkalne and stay for longer ... :-))) and enjoy the Baltic coast, and the forest around.

Excellent restaurant with cozy dining room, extensive and good menu, and great service.

We only dined here and did not stay in this hotel when we passed through Jurkalne because it was fully booked. I wish we could have stayed here because it is clearly superior to the other lodging options.

Very nice, cozy and clean apartments. (Loved the shower) Location - superb. Seaside - wonderful. Restaurant has some minor flaws. But in it's own category - definitely 5*

Most pleasant surprise. Real good food - Latvian and international dishes, appealingly served, in a beautiful wood-decorated setting. And everything at reasonable prices. Wow!

Everything was great, especially nicely renovated, stylish room. Located next to park, 5 minutes’ walk to the sea. Caffe in hotels garden, shop - 5 minutes.

Tasty home made food. We enjoyed the place, village style interrior and food. Our dog was also welcome to come in, which is very appreciated. They do have outside terrace also.

Really nice place. Rooms are very clean, furnitures and design in apartaments are testeful. Food in restaurant was perfect and all crew services was with highest quality. Greetings from Lithuania!

Tasty food, big portions and a quite cozy place whats else would you want. Friendly staff. Try cold beetroot soup!

Ribs with stewed cabbage was very good and large portion.

I have stayed here with my family for couple nights every summer - love this harbour of peace.
