Kamakura

I have been visiting this restaurant with friends for now at least over 10 years. It's authentic Japanese cuisine. It's very fine, very delicate. The manager strolls through the restaurant and guides you through your menu, checks on you and also looks after the costumers together with the waiting staff. It has mostly been the same staff for all these years. They used to have a Guide-Michelin star if I remember correctly. The quality of their food is on point.

The quality of sashimi, sushi, duck salad and tempura are very good and all of them are imported goods. The services from the staff are very good as well. The atmosphere is similar to that in Japan. The price is reasonable.

We absolutely loved our experience at Kamakura! The food was sublime, service impeccable, and the vibe was on point.

The manager visited our table and asked us about the tuna -- it was tremendous.

I highly recommend you give Kamakura a visit the next time you're craving good traditional Japanese food in Luxembourg.

We had the yakitori for starters and then followed by the sushi/sashimi platter for two.

Amazing food. Excellent selection of sake and outstanding service. Quite a change from just salmon and tuna everywhere else.

It was an amazing experience: the service was perfect, the food very original and a lot of new and exotic flavors. The atmosphere really reminds you to Japan and authentic Japanese culture.
I strongly recommend it, perfect for special occasions.

The most incredible Japanese food I’ve ever had; the taster menu was a unique lifetime experience that I’d recommend to everyone. I spent almost three hours being brought course after course of perfect, complimenting dishes. The staff were friendly, informative and descriptive about the food. I’d eat here every day if I could.

Simple yet superb. Wonderful Japanese food (the grilled eel and duck dishes) done to perfection. The Yuzu and Plum unfiltered liqueurs were the best digestifs I have had in years.

By far best Japanese restaurant in town. Top notch service, everyone extremely welcoming and kind. The quality of the fish is incredible, first time I have this amazing culinary experience in Luxembourg. I recommend.

Real traditional Japanese food (coming from a Japanese person)

My husband and I went on August 4th for our anniversary. It had been a crazy few weeks and we were incredibly stressed but the relaxing environment and service calmed us right away. We ordered the tasting menu and every item was perfect. We wanted sake and the owner helped us with tasting a few different ones, and recommended two for the dinner. It was absolutely perfect! The Kobe beef was absolutely stellar!

I’m very surprised by any reviews about not being able to speak English. Everyone spoke English with us, even though we can speak French, they wanted to speak in our most comfortable language.

Best Japanese resto in Luxembourg. The price is worth it, but you may want to go for lunch to avoid hurting your wallet

Amazing food and service. Extremely friendly and helpful staff members. We had the menu de degustation and I would have everything again. Impeccable presentation and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it!

Managed to lose my phone down the built in benches in a freak slip of the hand and couldn't retrieve it. I was only staying in Luxembourg for a couple of days. The staff went above and beyond to retrieve the phone, and send it carefully packaged to the UK. They were extremely communicative and helpful throughout. Oh the food is delicious too! And the service is excellent and accommodating.

The one and only genuine japanese restaurant in Luxembourg country! The fine cuisine and the quality of products cannot be copied. You are welcomed by very polite owner and staff. The location is charming and discreet. If you love japanese kitchen, this is the place for your next dinner.
And if you think, the price is higher than elsewhere, don't forget that originals do always cost more than cheap copies because of quality and reputation.
