Amazing! French Fries were so nice and both of the Sandwiches as well. Staff was likeable and very helpful. I really liked atmosphere there, especially music and decorations. Location was a huge plus.

Great Burgers at Charles Sandwich - A Regular's Perspective

Charles Sandwich in Luxembourg City has been my go-to spot for burgers, and it never disappoints! Here's why it's a five-star experience for me:

Firstly, the burgers are fantastic, and you get what you pay for. They might be a bit messy to eat, but that's part of the charm. These burgers are substantial and loaded with flavor. If you're looking for a hearty, indulgent meal, this is the place to be. Plus, the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive with out forgetting the location, energie, salaries, ingredients…. cost.

As a regular customer, I've come to appreciate the efficient service. While they can be quick to take your order, it means your food arrives promptly, somewhere between the speed of fast food and a traditional restaurant.

The downside, however, is the limited space and sometimes high noise levels. It can get a bit crowded and noisy during peak hours, which might not be ideal for a quiet, intimate meal. The interior, while stylish, could benefit from more lighting to create a brighter, cozier atmosphere.

(I think)One thing worth noting is that they've recently undergone renovations. While I haven't been since the changes, it's possible that some of the issues related to space and lighting have been addressed.

In summary, if you're in the mood for delicious, messy burgers at a reasonable price and don't mind a bit of hustle and bustle, Charles Sandwich is the place to be. It might not be the best choice if you're seeking a quiet, well-lit dining experience, but the food and service more than make up for it.

The sandwiches were yummy- there are so many options from chicken, bacon and beef but also a few vegetarian options! The staff were really friendly & attentive. Great place for some good sandwiches!

Food is amazing and for a fair price, staff was so nice and the place is really cute! I definitely recommend!!!

Excellent food, excellent service, overall a great dinner. The only downside is that the fries are pretty terrible compared to the rest of the food, and not worth it. Prices are a bit steep, but between 1700 and 1800, there's a happy hour, where everything meal is half off, so steep pricing is avoidable if you're willing to have dinner a little earlier. If you order at 1759, for example, you still get the discount, without eating too early)

Awesome food. Fries one of the best in my life. Salad great as well. The baguette was crispy and the whole melted cheese sandwich amazing. Recommend 100%!

The first time we went, the staff ignored us most of the time. If we wanted something, we had to draw attention to ourselves for a long time or go to the cashier. We ordered 4 dishes, they only brought 3. They weren't weird about it. After a few minutes, my friend had to go remind herself how come she didn't have her food yet when we were almost done eating. They forgot about her.

On the second visit, unfortunately, they were full. The free tables were booked. We were offered to wait 30 minutes or order to go. If a seat opened up, we could sit. We ordered a takeaway. After 5 minutes of waiting, a table became available and we were seated. But we had to pay the difference between the prices. The food was again excellent.

Honestly and truly, one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I got the BBC, which is Bacon, Brie, and Cranberry jam and it was banging. The savory and salty bacon, which there was plenty of, just meshed with the sweet and sour of the cranberry, and add it the melts, gooey cheese and it’s a winner. I got it to go, but the inside has a cool vibe and the staff was nice. Can’t recommend this place enough…it’s a must.

Do not miss this place during happy hour, prices are fantastic for the food. Very good choice of sandwiches, etc., with great flavor palettes. Definitely worth going during haply hour, regular prices may be a bit too expensive.

First time visitors to Luxembourg and we stopped here for our first meal. It was a wonderful experience. The server was friendly and helpful. Our family had the cheeseburger (it's 2 patties), Philly cheesesteak, the Charles special, and a kids chicken sandwich and everyone really loved their meal. If we were staying longer we'd definitely hit it up again.

Indistinguishable sidewalk cafe/sandwich shop, but best sandwich I've had in Europe. You can choose from several variations of chicken, bacon, cheese steak, and more served on a fresh baguette. (There's a burger menu too.) Our party had cheese steak, and chicken sandwiches. Fresh, large portions, great service, and reasonably priced. More than I expected.

Awesome sandwich!

I tried the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was pretty good! Crunchy bread, nice meat, caramelized onions…
also, the combo came with french fries and a nice salad with crumbles, cheese and some caesar sauce (not a healthy salat at all, but very tasty)!
Total was €25 per person (13 the sandwich, 7€ to combo with fries and salad and 5€ for the homemade tea)
Will definitively go back to try other sandwiches.

Came here for the first time in November and have returned four times since. Their sandwiches and burgers are simply delicious. I love how welcoming the staff were and the decorations inside were lovely.
I also recommend trying out the brunch, it’s really good.

Small shop in the pedestrian zone. Larger benches and a few small tables mean you may have to share your table.
Service:
Friendly staff who take your order at the table and bring the food. You have to pay at the counter by yourself.
For take away there is a pager that signals when the food is ready.

Very nice little place to stop for lunch. I had a really nice bacon, brie and cranberry sauce baguette. The combo comes with fries and side salad, which you could easily share between 2 people. The service was very nice, would definitely recommend.
