The Nature Rest

We stayed one night last December. Family owned business. Owner, Darmadasa and his wife are very friendly and they went out of there way to make us feel comfortable. They prepare delicious Sri Lankan foods for very reasonable prices. Rooms are very village like, clean and has hot water. From the room's balcony you get a mesmerising view of mountains. It's close to Ohia Railway Station. I recommend this place.

Good foods

Simple affordable place to stay near Ohiya. Old very friendly couple runs this place. Even the facilities are low end they manage to give a good service. You can order meals here. They have small pear garden next to rooms. If you are lucky enough you can hand pluck pears for affordable price. And also they have flower nursery. They have some rare plants.

Below average, Altogether 12 people can stay, but rooms seems to be dirty. Bathroom are not usable. Hot water available in one cottage, but the funny thing is water shower is missing from the hose. Food is average but too expensive when considering the quality of food.

The room Needs definitely some extra care. Bathroom is leaking everywhere and Not clean. The room also Not clean. The towel we got was Not clean. No mosqito nets. We experienced big spiders and some mice in the ceiling. The couple is nice and kind and cooked us good home made meal but we would definitely Not stay again and Not recommending the place. Also for the price 4500lkr we got way better cleaner and nicer accomodation in the past.

We have booked 02 rooms before 01 month and even we deposited an advance as per their request. When we went to the place to stay the old couple has informed us that they were not aware of our visit and they said that they have provided the rooms for people who visit that day. Even though we have booked 01 month earlier they treated us like that. It was so disgusting that. Then we had to stay in another place after waiting for nearly 02 hours for a higher cost. This bad experience has let us to write this review to inform other people about this old couple's behavior to the customers.

the owners are very kind and friendly(like treating their own relations). They prepare and give food to tea home made stuffs. I had to experience some wild insects like spiders and leeches. Washrooms are not upto standard.
