Leo's café

This has to be one of my favourite places in nilaveili .the rice and curry is so good and with the Italian vibe the pasta is great . Beautiful place to grab some lunch with the pool and the amazing garden creates this relaxing holiday atmosphere. Just a stone throw from the beautiful nilaveili beach its a must try . Definitely recommend staying here the rooms are fab and staff are so helpful and friendly

Came here for breakfast. Nice to have decent coffee in Sri Lanka - most places only offer instant but this was a great Americano.

Breakfast was a mix between western and Sri Lankan. The sambol was obviously super fresh and one of the best tasting I have had so far

Some people mentioned the animals but they were chill and couldn’t care less, acted as if the customers weren’t even there. Tried to have a little pet with a dog but he was content sunbathing!

We really enjoyed our lunch there. It seems that is run by an italian-sri lankan partnerships, so it is the best place to take a break from sri lankan food and enjoy italian dishes they cook. They also prepare good coffee which is always a plus.
We read reviews mentioning dogs/cats, but the thing is that we saw a puppy and a cat and they looked clean and well treated

A great small beachcafe that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It belongs to the bella nilaveli guesthouse but is open for everyone. The food is good with fresh vegetables from the own garden like tomatos, carrots and eggplants. The juices and drinks are fresh and delicious aswell. Try the coffee affogato.

Just order whatever fish they catch locally on the day and you will have a great lunch/dinner. There are dogs and cats but they are harmless and are taken in after being abandoned. It’s not luxury, it’s just simple cooking done well by great people.

Relaxing atmosphere. You are let be. Open space but covered from the sun with fans.

Excellent food served with great service! Many products come from the property's vegetable and fruit garden, hand-picked minutes before the preparation - amazing! The kitchen serves a mix of local and international recepies, all with the best quality ingredients. Special attention for healthy and vegetarian treats, like the freshly squeezed aloe vera juice. We've been having every single meal at the cafè during our 2weeks stay at Nilaveli Beach! Might sound boring, but with so many choices and such great food, who'd want to move from there?? Btw, there are also some souvenirs for sale: don't miss the tea and the handmade soap!

Anna‘s place is really cosy with a great lush vegetable garden and a pool- which we and the kids enjoyed a lot! Walking distance to the perfect Nilaveli beaches- endless and empty. We love the restaurant and for sure the real Italian style coffee - hard to get in sri Lanka!

Amazing food, lovely atmosphere, lovely family, animal friendly, children friendly highly recommended

Food and drinks were great. There is also a cool shop with products and souvenirs.

Lovely fresh food

Ein ganz gemütliches Kaffee und Restaurant das auf den ersten Blick gleich eine einladende Atmosphäre hat. Sehr nettes Personal und gute Musik im Hintergrund.

Wir (5-köpfige Familie) waren zum Abendessen dort. Das Rice & Curry war super lecker. Ebenso die gebratenen Nudeln und der gebratene Reis.

Petit restaurant italià a la zona de Nilaveli. Lloc ideal per fer un break de menjar local. No us oblideu de demanar parmesano.

Abbiamo cenato da Leo's un paio di volte durante il nostro soggiorno a Nilaveli.Cibo molto buono,ben cucinato,da provare la zuppa di pesce ed il pesce del giorno alla griglia.Consiglio vivamente di provare questo ristorante.
Prezzi: pesce alla griglia 3000 rupie,calamari 2500,zuppe 1500,Rice and curry veg 1000, + 10%service charge

Nous avons très bien mangé ! Tout est fait maison, et très bien cuisiné. Le serveur est adorable. Je recommande 😉
