The service quality at this hotel is exceptional. The rooms are also very nice and comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The grounds and setting of the hotel on the coast line is beautiful - we did a coastal walk with a ranger (highly recommended) and was able to truly appreciate the beauty of the area. Food is above average and while they offer variety, if you are staying for several nights (as we did), having daily specials would make for a less mundane dining experience. We had come from Ceylon Tea Trails, and found the food quality here to be much better. The only major downside is that the animal viewing was not great. When we went it had been raining considerably so the park was flooded and roads pretty rough to drive on. Also, no joke, there are literally hundreds of safari jeeps in block one so the game drive in and of itself is not pleasant or peaceful. When animals are spotted it is broadly shared and all jeeps convene to that area and people are screaming above engine motors - it is frenetic. This is out of the control of the hotel though, but just something to keep in mind when planning your trip. We did one game drive to block five and that was much better. The other drawback is that because the hotel is on the game reserve you cannot freely walk around, so if you are not swimming laps in the pool, there’s not much to do for exercise. A small gym with a treadmill would be a welcome addition. The hotel itself is wonderful and would highly recommend.

A once in a lifetime experience! This is probably the best hotel experience I have ever had. The staff are truly amazing, the food is exceptional, the setting is beautiful and you really are integrated with the animals. The swimming pool area is amazing, and you can sunbathe in front of waves crashing against the rocks. The attention to detail of this place is brilliant and the rooms are exceptionally comfy and stylish. I could not recommend this highly enough- it really is absolute luxury!

Nestled within the serene confines of Wild Coast Tented Lodge, my stay in the tented room was nothing short of extraordinary. The architectural marvel of the high vaulted ceiling and wooden floors exuded rustic charm, while the netted four-poster king-size bed provided a cocoon of comfort. A spacious desk and sitting area beckoned for moments of relaxation and contemplation.

The indulgence continued with a luxurious copper bath and a shower and toilet discreetly tucked away at the rear of the tent. The seamless integration of air conditioning ensured a refreshing retreat from the tropical heat, while the ample hot water, ingeniously linked to the aircon, offered a continuous stream of comfort.

Outside, my private deck adorned with director’s chairs and a quaint table provided the perfect setting for unwinding amidst nature’s embrace. Some pods even boasted private pools, adding an extra touch of exclusivity.

The understated elegance of the decor spoke volumes, with its blend of simplicity and refinement. The plush bed ensured restful nights, while the spacious and invigorating shower was a welcome indulgence.

The impeccable service of the staff left a lasting impression, as they went above and beyond with their unwavering helpfulness and politeness.

Culinary delights awaited at every turn, with Wild Coast Tented Lodge’s cuisine reaching unparalleled heights. The bi-weekly beach barbecue was a culinary journey not to be missed, featuring an array of made-to-order salads and grilled meats and fish.

In-room amenities surpassed expectations, with a thoughtful selection of treats including a coffee machine, premium teas, wines, beers, soft drinks, and fresh milk. Dried fruits and homemade sweets added a delightful touch to the culinary offerings.

The tented room is stunning with its high vaulted ceiling and wooden floors. A netted four-poster king-size bed, desk and sitting area occupy the front half. The rear of the tent is given to a copper bath and the shower and toilet.

Air con ensures the space is a welcome bolt hole from the hot and humid world outside. The hot water is linked to the aircon and was plentiful.

Outside, a private deck had directors chairs and a table for a relaxing break. Some pods have private pools.

The upmarket utilitarian decor is simple, elegant and harmonious. The bed is comfortable and the shower roomy and powerful enough.

The staff are unfailingly helpful and polite.

The food was excellent but the twice a week beach barbecue is a treat not to be missed with made to order salads and grilled meats and fish.

In room delights included a coffee machine, selection of premium teas, red wine, white wine, beer, soft drinks and fresh milk. Dried fruit and homemade sweets complete the edible treats.

The resort design ensures each pod is secluded and private. The restaurant and bar are open and comfortable spaces in which to linger.

Given the price is all inclusive, it’s good value.

This was a really nice place, the pool was really nice. It is also open to animals so you can expect a visit from a monkey. I also went on the safari, and I saw so many animals, including a mating peacock who failed and got his heart broken and a rude elephant. It was a really nice experience so you should come here. Exceptional. 10/10 experience. Stayed here as part of a recent trip around Sri Lanka, blown away by overall property & the service was nothing short of world class. Staff are incredibly kind, attentive & friendly always wanting ensure that your time at the lodge is perfect. Cocoon suites are amazing (we had a beach front w/pool #23), brilliantly designed + spacious, impeccably
clean & all round total luxury - super comfortable bed & furniture, exceptional shower & bath along with many other great features. Food & drinks were fantastic, so many options to choose from, all excellently cooked & quick to arrive (again, can’t emphasise enough that the staff are just brilliant) against a beautiful back drop of the coast & lodge. We did a Safari during our stay which was great seeing lots of different animals (which can be down to luck) however regardless of what animals we saw the highly knowledgable guide was super engaging & informative making the whole time fun & interesting from plants to birds to animals to climate facts etc. It is also worth noting that the lodge had some kind of special passes for the drive meaning we could pass much of the traffic on the way into Yala National Park. Couldn’t recommend staying here highly enough & a huge thank you to the staff who made our stay perfect - Binali, Venura, Dasun, Eric, Megha & Dumindu.

What a wonderful experience. They deserve for the best notes! Great atmosphere, nice and helpful staff, delicious food. You fell like in a jungle - but in a safe way. Someday will come back there.

Wild Coast is an absolute gem. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, and ready to answer any questions you may have.
The food is simply out of this world, made with high quality ingredients. The Sri Lankan breakfast with egg hoppers and curries is absolutely excellent, and so are the cocktails served all day.

WONDERFUL, is the only way to describe our stay at Wild Cost.

First of all thank you to our driver that brought us from Colombo airport to the resort, it was such a smooth drive!

This place is our favourite hotel ever. We are a younger couple who loves traveling and this place is worth the cost.

The room speaks for it self. The staff is the kindest people ever - always ready to make you feel special and happy. It feels very friendly and familliar. The pool is awesome because of the various angels and playful space. Monkeys is all around but in a very respectful way, not approaching or ”stealing food” or anything. I took a massage from one of the ladies and I am lost for words how powerful she was and her teqnique was something I never experienced before. My back and shoulder sounded a lot :,) My best massage ever. The food is something else, super good. Make sure to taste their milkshakes (Rhubary✨) and enjoy their coffees. The chocolate foundant is a must.

The safari is amazing. They prepared our tickers in to Yala so in the morning tour we passed about 60 something cars in line to be one of the first car let in to the park when opening. Everything is so profesional.

You are one with the djungle here but not of the cost of a practical luxury living.

I don’t think my words are enough for this place. If you can, do yourself a favour and book this place for core memories.

This place is amazing. Everything was perfect, food, service,hospitality and smile people everyday.
Another point is that it is a sustainable hotel that helps comunities and preserves enviroment.
The safari time was very good with a expertise guide, so smart that we sew leopard, bear, elephants,crocodiles,beatiful birds and a beatiful sunset.
I intend to come back one day and I recommend stay in this hotel. Amazing experience!

The rooms in this resort are one of the coolest I've ever seen. I felt catapulted back in time, to the beginning of the 20th century. I felt like an explorer in the tracks of Indiana Jones. Every detail was executed in the correct time frame. The books in the room , the light switches etc. The game drive was beautiful, the guide was super enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and the wine was the best wine I had in Sri Lanka (don't order the steak though, but then again never order steak in Sri Lanka haha). I could not recommend this place more. You must add this to your bucket list.

Stayed here twice over the last two months. Both times were fantastic. The highlight was the courteous staff, they were very helpful. Beautiful location, peaceful and serene surroundings, great food and drinks. Special thanks to Sandaruwan, Venura, Dinuka (was here during my first stay), Thimira, Tilshan, Meedum, Guy at the Bar/ Sundowner (sorry can't remember your name), Rohan and many more , sorry I wish I remember all the names.
