Yala Block I

Although it was very crowded, the experience in traveling into the wild is always amazing. Many animals everywhere and you can really feel the wild. Better to come early morning and avoid the heat. Elephants, deers, buffalos and peacocks are everywhere, leopard is not easy to find but possible. Recommended.

The first safari I did in my life and it couldn’t be better!! So many richness in wildlife, birds, elephants, crocodiles, even leopards we were able to spot them twice!
We took the full day safari trip, but in only half day we saw so many diversity. It was beautiful. We spotted the leopard sleeping on a tree top, 6 crocodiles, one hunting a fish, so many different and beautiful birds. Peacocks everywhere. Mating season, so we observed them totally! It was magical and unbelievable.. beautiful. Families of elephants.
I recommend to go early morning, take the pick up at 4:30am and enter the park with the sunrise! Is astonishing!! Beautiful lakes and nature

Great experience, had the opportunity to see many animals. I wasn’t lucky enough to spot a leopard or elephant but was very satisfied.

It's a national nature reserve in the dry zone. It's a completely different landscape from that of a rainforest. Its beauty is in the dryness and the adaptation shown by plants and animals to the environment is an amazing experience.
We went during the dry season so we got very lucky to have multiple leopard sightings including a sighting of a mother with two of her cubs. We were able to see elephants, deer and wild boars. It was an absolutely stunning experience.

Lots of wildlife as well as too much vehicles. If you are ok to watch wildlife with lots of vehicles, yala is for you ! 😜
