The owner Dulash was great and made us really feel comfortable in his small family restaurant. Food is local, home made and delicious. Open till you are finished, the owner will also make sure you get home safe. Would definitely recommend if you are passing by or staying in the nearby villas for a dinner.

We had a couple of great meals here. The family that runs this place are very friendly. The also have cold beer which is nice. The free WiFi worked well.

We arrived for a late lunch and we were warmly welcomed by the owner.
The food is very good and fresh, the staff is friendly.
The chef introduced us to some vegetables that we had not tried before, a culinary treat. The fruit juices are fresh and delicious.
As we really liked it we came back the next day to discover new curries.
They also offer a Sri Lankan buffet meal if you prefer.
We highly recommend Chill Out.

Had a dinner with friends. it was perfect something for everyone. service was awesome and the owner was very friendly who is always taking care his costumers nicely. we were entertaining a lot with nice music.
Specially the food was absolutely wonderful from preparation to presentation. very pleasing and we had calamari it was so fresh and delicious.
Thank you very much for taking such a care of all my friends during our visit.

Beautiful place to stay in Tangalle. Only 2 minutes walk to the one of the most extraordinary beaches on the world. Great food and refreshments are just an added value for you and your friends to experience chill-out vibes in south of Sri Lanka. The owner Doulash and his family are 'true blue' people. Highly recommended!

We visited Chillout Cafee during our month stay many times. And always it was fabulous! Every meal was prepared perfectly with love and enthusiasm. Every single thing on our plate was so delicious! Stuff was all the time very supportive. We have two little kids and we all loved our dinners in the Chillout Cafee. Dulash and his family are doing a great job! In that place, there really are positive vibes!

Great food at reasonable prices. Very friendly waitstaff & owner who we had a lovely chat with. Set in a great location close to many beautiful beaches, perfect for lunch before heading for a swim.

Great creative take on traditional food, made fresh and nicely served. Owner will gladly offer cooking lessons as well to those who want to learn the art.
Food is spicy unless you ask otherwise- and very very tasty! We will come back again!

Great place with nice chill out ambience and hospitality. Good customer service, and most of all delicious food. Sea food platter was the best dish of all, me & my friends had in Sri Lanka. Higly recommended!

Friendly owner and staff. Very tasty local food with reasonable prices. Had dinner here as the hotel food was way overpriced. Kotthu, 2 Egg Roti, Rice+Curry, beer, water, lemonade was about 1900 lkr.
