Ellatota Ella Waterfall

It was very beautiful and superb. However, Sri Lankan and Bandarawela Council need to stop or take action against those who have been washing and cleaning vehicles and took took. This is really discussed,spoiling the beautiful environment.

Beautiful water fall.. not suitable for having a bath..

You can't reach the waterfall through the foot steps shown on the Google maps. You have to walk a few meters(away from the narrow passage shown on the map) towards bandarwela town and there's a narrow passage right next to the car wash, from their you can reach this waterfall.

And there are two waterfalls near to each other. The beautiful one is pinned on the maps.

This is called ellethota ella..on rainy days this waterfall become very beautiful..someone calles this as down obada ella

Hidden waterfall in bandarawela town view is good but bit polluted

Its a good place to hangout with your friends and family and no dangerous amd very beautiful place

The Ellatota Ella waterfall loomed overhead, and enormous sink set to full blast. Spurts of ocean plummeted from the mouth of its cataract in a violent fashion. As a whole, the general appearance was reminiscent of a crater sliced cleanly in half, surrounded by a border of pine trees. The peak contained a skyscraper like presence, primarily due to its visibility (or lack thereof).
