Dambethenna Tea Factory

Can't believe the reviews, our experience was completely different. We arrived around 9am after watching sunrise and beautiful walk through the plantation. The excursion was very interesting, the man showing us the factory was very kind and friendly, making jokes around, answering all our questions. Then we tasted 4 types of tea they produce. Great experience, thank you!

Today I visited to this tea factory with a foreign couple from UK. They have asked to wait 10 minutes until finished the ongoing tea tour for a group. After that one guy came and charged Rs. 2000 for the couple and I waited at the lobby around 10 minutes. Can you believe my clients are back. It was finished within ten minutes. What a shame. So I asked about the tea tasting and he said we are doing tea tasting only in the morning. So why you are charging 1000 rupees per head? At least there should be a complimentary cup of tea for the ticket. Really disappointed about your service and this shouldn't be continue in future for visitors. As a Lipton factory you have earned a quality goodwill and a brand. If you need a run in the factory and disgusting visit, please come and visit this Dambethenna tea factory.

Cheating clients with money (not giving the change, saying they gave already), no tea degustation, very poor excursion, only making sand size tea for tea bags. Do not recommend. Halpé is way much client-oriented and interesting
