Thirunavukarasu Model Farm

Tour was excellent! We enjoyed learning about sustainable organic farming and irrigation techniques. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the visit fun and educational. Kids had amazing opportunity to experience Sri Lankan village life and especially enjoyed the farm animals. Truly unique experience of developing Jaffna.

This model farm is well looked after. Pure organic produces, especially mangoes, pomegranates and Papaws are very tasty and of very high quality. The farm donates vegetable plants in growbags to war affected, resettled families in Valikamam area.

I recommend that overseas visitors should make a visit and support this valuable effort to save water and improve health of our community.

Visitors can buy organic fruits, vegetables as well as organic pesticides and organic for their home use.
