Thalsevana Holiday Resort & Restaurant

Fantastic place with awesome beachfront and a fabulous swimming pool. Breakfast was so delicious and the rest of the meals of our choice was very tasty. People working there were so humble and very helpful. Enjoyed the stay thoroughly and would like to go back again. I wish the trains were running. Would’ve been easy. access. Very clean and beautiful resort. Will recommend without any hesitation.

Good food. Good service. Loved the place. Beach was nice, but alot of stones you need to walk about 10-15 meters to enjoy the waves.

Walking distance from the kks train station. Great value. Best value if a military officer is with you. 50% off on rooms and 25% off on food. Food is pricier.

I wondered when I visited this place. Everything things perfect location hospitality food yes especially Nardigiron my wife became s fan of that dish even I wanted to meet chef personally thanks

Very nice place to spend the time with families. Very spacious rooms & amazing views. No fancy food stuff, but local food is delicious. Not sure why many negative comments, but our experience of this place is super great. Staff also very friendly & they do a superb job attending to cater all requests.

Good food .. affordable price.. lovely sea view.. nice and clean beach.. bit roughh sea.

The sheets are not so great, the plumbing in the toilets is off and the dining room has plenty of flies..

but

The food was excellent, the service was above par, the location is magical and the whole set up is worth all the little inconveniences.

Just have to spruce up the little bits and pieces and you have a super resort at such a low price.

My recommended place to stay in Jaffna and it's less than 6 to 8km from the airport.

The hotel was great , right opposite KkS railway station. The staffs were disciplined and very helpful. The lights in the hotel was off by 10.30pm as it was an army resort. We had a fantastic time there, we had a bathe in the beach and used the pool till night, with an amazing sunrise and sunset view. We didn’t try any food there. Highly recommend the place for stays. They have economy budget rooms and rooms with various facilities with different prices. Thanks Thalsewana for the great experience.

We went to KKS Beach. 1 day trip. Never stayed in any rooms yet. But all those staff at reception and on the ground are very helpful and friendly. Best ever service. Beach didn't have any life guards at the moment , and there is a jellyfish thread, but resort has a swimming pool, disappointed not able to swim in the beach, but satisfied ourselves by being in the pool. Expensive, but great service deserves that cost.

My wife was always saying even after the check out, the authentic srilankan crab gravy is still taste remembering in the tongue buds and my daughter likes the atmosphere.

Very interesting place from where you can see sunrise and sunset.

Good place to eat and stay in Kankasanturei. Managed by the army and prices are ok. Food is good too. Have nice beach suitable for bathing. There's plenty of parking as well.

Highly recomended place for dining.facinating scenery and favourable environment . Very delicious food with good service.

No competition resort situated at Kankasenthurai. Very conveniently located close to the railway station and beach. Good for a stay and to be used as a stopover for food while at and driving through the city. The food is good and the premises are well maintained. Customer experience could improve. But overall a good experience.

Great place to hang out. Food is uncomplainable. But the service could get better. When it's crowded no one really attend new customers until you call upon someone to get the menu card and order. It took us more than an hour to get our food and an hour and a half to get the desserts and bill even after we told we are in a rush.

We went for dining and the food was of good hygiene and standard. We ordered devilled pork, chicken nasi goreng and egg fried rice and all the dishes did justice to the taste. Atmosphere was good. Good experience

It was a great experience staying a day at this resort; Thalsevana at KKS. They have their own demarcated beach area which is really clean and well maintained. You can have a sea bath there (they allow bathing in the sea till 6 PM) and then can move into the swimming pool (which is open till 8 PM, as I remember). Food is good, you can choose among a plenty of options. Rooms are clean and well maintained, comfortable to stay as well. The bathrooms are quite good. You can walk all the way down along the beach side (even at night). This place is highly recommended.
