Barberyn Reef Ayurveda Resort

I came for the treatment here after my lipoedema surgeries. After 10 days my scars and swelling considerably reduced. It is fully worth to come to Barberyn to treat any medical condition, after all, this is the best place for aurveda treatment one can get.

The hospitality and the professionalism of the team of Dr Asanga Rodrigo during my stay at the resort was exceptional. It is an authentic Ayurvedic experience indeed that promotes wellness and relaxation. I had the opportunity to participate in Yoga programs, receive Ayurvedic reflexology therapies that made my stay a worthwhile investment on physical and mental wellbeing. This is indeed a place for wellness travelers. The view and the location is an amazing value addition to provide and extraordinary experience.

During my 3 week stay at Barberyn Reef, I joined the classes of Kanchana Malshani. It was a dance class but doesn't require any background because actually it is about exploration of the body- mind connection through movement. Anybody can do that because Kanchana understands you and supports you and your body and helps you enjoy every movement even though you have physical limitations. Each lesson was a gem for me. Very special experience. I will never forget this experience where I became friends with my body and enjoyed it with a beautifully selected music, by the Indian ocean in the gorgeous garden terrace of the hotel with Kanchana's to the point guidance. A must be done!

Every thing was perfect and enjoyable till 9th Night until I was asked to pay extra on last day. Surprisingly I felt bad they should have told me before they put charges. And booking sales people do not respond at all.poorly managed however medical treatment is outstanding

Great place for ayurvedic cure. Located right on the beach. The food is delicious, wide selection. Everything is well organized, with care and love. Nice and responsive people in the staff. Free tours and activities such as yoga are offered to guests. It is very nice. Thank you very much! Will definitely come back.

I have been in both Barberyns: Reef and Beach, and can state that both centers are amazing!!
Barberyn Reef's location is great , right on the beach, with long sandy beaches .
The staff is highly supportive, literally every single worker is doing his/her best for you to feel comfortable and good.

The Ayurvedic treatments are awesome.
The building itself is a historical Dutch colonial building. I loved that architecture.
In the menu no meat, no coffee , no soda drinks or alcohol. Instead you have lots of fresh juices , fresh fruits and vegetables, herbal teas.
It's worth going there for at least 10 days , so the treatment can have impact.
Can't recommend enough.

I have stayed at Barberyn Reef over the years 5 times in total.
I have always found all the staff to be very friendly, courteous and willing to do whatever was necessary to make my stay a pleasant one.
Special mention to Ms Kamini whose family established and own this business for her kindness and gentleness she has always shown me on my visits treating us all as family. Many thanks also to the restaurant staff, (amazing variety of tasty meals), all the girls involved in the massage area, including those working behind “the scenes” such as the bath girls who do a great job, and of course all the girls working in the beauty parlour which I frequented often!
On my visits there, I always stayed in a beach front room with its own little balcony where I could just sit and relax reading a book or simply gazing out at the beach after my treatments.

Unbelievable architecture. More than the architecture, the credit should go to the person who is doing the landscaping and who is doing the maintanance of the garden. The hotel is just at the see shore. However, they are maintaining a nice tropical garden and a nice greenery. Water front arrangements are perfect and matching the building architecture.

Not a big place, but nicely maintained. They have a nice big pool. More than that, the way they marked the boundary at the see front was simply amazing.

I can highly recommend Barberyn Reef as a health, recovery and relax Ayurveda clinic/resort. The place was recommended by a friend and fully met and exceeded my expectations. Most importantly after three weeks stay my previously concerning health condition has improved back to normal. The thorough holistic diagnosis by excellent doctors, coupled with tailored treatments and massages, individually for each guest prepared medicines and delicious healthy food (chosen for ones condition) all contributed to
make me healthy again, feeling deeply recovered and relaxed.

The good thing about Barberyn is that if you go along with it, you give your body, mind and soul a healthy holiday. Yoga, meditation, beach and pool help with that.

I want also express much gratitude to the doctors here, I was mainly with Dr Dinesha, who truly went out of her way to help with my various unbalanced conditions. The successful treatment was in my case confirmed by blood test results at the end.

all the other stuff in the kitchen, the room service, library and garden. The receptionists were very helpful with some things I needed to take care off and found the best and most satisfying solutions.

Barberyn Reef is a fantastic place for ayurveda treatments. I was there for a 4 weeks ayurveda foundation course so I also had the opportunity to try their treatment. The clinic has really skilled doctors and nurses are very knowledgeable. Accommodation is very good. Food healthy and daily prepared. No alcohol served. Definitely a place to go if u want to detox properly with a medical supervision.

This is an amazing place for Ayurveda treatment. Unlike any other resorts they will check for the root cause of the illness and treat you for that. Also they do stress releasing techniques that will help you get back to work free of any stress from body and mind.

Have been ther three times, everytime the best time of my life. Great people, great ayurvedic treatments and a beautiful location by the sea. Would go back in no time. We rented the small beach cottages which were like 20m from the beach.

Wonderfull treatment, very nice people, lovely and healthy food. Very calm and the rooms are so clean. We enjoyed it very much.
