University Gymnasium is a large indoor complex equipped with top –class sports training facilities. This huge building offers facilities for badminton, basketball, netball, volleyball, 5-a-side football (futsal), trampoline, aerobics, carom, chess, table tennis, weight lifting, powerlifting, weight training, wushu, karate, taekwondo, judo, kick boxing & wrestling. The playing area is covered with state-of –the-art high quality wooden floor. It is provided with 04 large tilled wash rooms & changing rooms plus a balcony for the spectators.

Great place with big space. Located in Arts faculty of University of Peradeniya. They got many courts to practice many sports like basketball, Netball.. etc Got big balcony for audiences. Nearly 12,000 can wach a musicalshow at once. Most events are organised by university students..

This is the main gymnasium of university of Peradeniya. Consists of basketball court, volleyball court, few badminton courts, tables tennis facilities, carrom and a weight lifting gym. Usually it is opened only for university students but occasionally such as public shows, people are allowed to visit.

Well maintained place. Open for university students at weekdays. Mainly basketball, volleyball, table tennis, wrestling, weight lifting, badminton, chess available. Outsiders can make reservations at weekends.

About Pilimathalawa
City in Sri Lanka

Pilimathalawa is a suburb of the city of Kandy, in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is governed by the Kadugannawa Urban Council. The town is situated 10 km away from Kandy, the district capital, and 104 km away from Colombo. Thalawa means flat area in Sinhalese, while pilima means statue.
