Semiwon Garden

Semiwon Garden was lovely. We went at the end of September, this is not the best season. Lotus blossoms are out at the end of July and August. There were lots of massive leaves and seed pods. The views were still incredible and worth the entrance fee (5,000₩).

Besides the Lotus ponds, there are other aquatic plants to view such as lily pads and reeds. A hanok style building is in the park. As you walk around the peninsula, you will find a floating bridge that will take you to the islet beside the garden. Make sure you keep your ticket to get back across. On the island, you can view the two rivers merging as one. In addition, they have a greenhouse that houses several types of water lillies.

Outside there is a Lotus Museum, which we didn't go to because of time. The building was beautifully designed. There's also a place that sells Lotus bread/cookies. There are 3 different types. I didn't realize how popular they were and waited to buy after we got out. They were sold out when we went in. Thankfully they had 9 left of their original so I grabbed those up and bought some Lotus tea and postcards.

Beautiful scenery, although it would have been better if we visited a few weeks earlier when the lotus flowers were still in bloom.

Super chilled out and peaceful until the tour buses start showing up @8:30am. Get there when it opens for the best views and least crowds!

Garden with very beautiful scenery. The admission fee is 5,000 won. There is a large trail to walk throughout the garden.

I came here at the end of winter season... the architecture is still nice, good for taking pictures. But it'll be most beautiful on Lotus season (summer). Good spot is the 배다리 or the ship bridge

It is a gorgeous park. The lotus flower are beautiful.

Very nice, family owned garden area. The entry fee is OK, the areal is neat and clean and the shaded walkway over the stepping stones in the small creek is especially nice when it's hot around noon time. I am think the best time to visit is early in the morning or late afternoon.

Whe I visited the water lily started flowering Very beautiful, the enternce fee need to be checked and planty of parking lot around.

Beautiful place that all visitors must visit. Free parking, amazing garden and Cafe and drinks available.
