Olympic Park World Peace Gate

An area that should be on your to visit list in Seoul.
This underestimated park is just as beautiful in winter as in summer. Both seasons having their uniqueness.

This place is perfect if you wish to escape the city noise and concrete streets of Seoul.

There several beverage and a few dining options, depending on where you enter.

Locals also use this park for family gatherings in the weekends where you can see several people doing simple and fun activities.

First off it’s a very nice park, but for a score big sports fans, that’s just one part of the whole thing. History created there is still vivid and it is lovely that many of the fields you can still enter not just see them from the outside. I would definitely recommend spending 2 to 3 hours there.

Beautiful area with a lot of statues along the alleys, olympic flame still burning and in the evening a lot of colors are projected to the gate.Wonderful view! You can see all the flags of the participating countries, but as it were at that time (ie: for Romania we saw the old flag with the Socialist Republic of Romania :) . The lake behind the flags is also nice and populated by a lot of birds.

This is South Korea's olympic park built to host the 1988 Summer Olympics. The ground is very huge. There are many social events being conducted here now to promote Korean culture.
I have recently been to 23rd Hanseong Baekje Cultural Fest held at this venue, the experience was amazing. This is the perfect place to have a large social gathering and organise any concerts. It is located in the core city easily accessible via Subway.
You can have a casual visit and have a walk down the park.

Beautiful park in Seoul. No entree fee. Just enjoy walking and strolling the park.

This is a great place for families outing. Good for taking pictures. Excellent for exercise.

Amazing park and nice picture spots

If you happen to visit the city in September, try and go to this festival. 3rd Baekje Cultural Festival and they do have a lot of fun activities for families, friends and lovers. The Olympic Park is a perfect place to host all of that.

I love this modern take on a traditional Korean gate that expresses humanity's longing for world peace.

One of the perfect place for spending the afternoon time while enjoying the golden hour.

Starving? No need to be worry, there are some convenience stores here :)

Convenience park for morning exercise

Beautiful place to visit. Full of live. Kids playing with their parents, lots of cyclists.

I think we came at the right time of the year because the weather was so perfect. There were lots of family with kids and plenty of activities to do.

Super wide open space, always filled with skaters and kids.

Gate of poece: memorial for 1988 Seoul Olympic in Seoul, Republic of Korea. It is located at the corner of Olympic Park and the flame is buring since the flame was settled before Olympic began. It seems this burns with gas supply to burn continuously.

World Peace Gate is a colorful gate built as a sign of peace and harmony for the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics which took place In September and October, 1988.

A large area perfect for skate-boards, roller-blades, kids bikes, kite flying - lots of families having outdoor fun - and the back-drop of the Olympic Peace Gate is ideal for photos. There's also a few shops and cafes nearby, and it's a very short walk from the Subway station (Pink Line), plus there's a large green area and sports facilities further in to the park.

One of nice landmark to visit in Seoul. Good for photo and near Lotte World Tower the most beautiful tower in Jamsil.
