1100 Highland Ecological Swamp

Went there to see snow-covered highland but turned out there was a snowfall during my visit 🥺

Only about 25+ minutes drive from the center of Jeju, you will be reaching at the swamp.

It’s high elevation allows the ever lasting snow to remain, which definitely allows for superb view.

Parking is the tricky one for those who are driving to this location. Make sure to park along the shoulder or be lucky to find a spot at the site.

Entrance normally don’t form a line, allowing you to enter the pre-made trail. Overall, trail walking time is about 15-20mins. Lots of view points and picture snap spot!

Go when it’s near winter or at winter time. The view of over spreader white snow is a definite watch!

At 1100M above sea level, and easily accessible by car. it’s a beautiful stop near Hallasan Mountain. A 1 km boardwalk loops around the wetland.

Nice short easy loop flat walking trail whereby you may spot some animals like dear and birds. Free parking, free entry and there is also free good telescopes at the observation deck by the parking which you can use it to look across the mountain (or observe the people in the wetland track).

The highest altitude that we could get to Halla mountain. A Ramsar reserve gives beautiful scenery which made my day...!:)

This is the highest point you can get with your car, and very nice view.

if you have snow in Jeju, this place is definitely the best place to see the snowflake.

A Must-visit destination. Take a stroll in nature wonders.

Nice short walk through the wetlands on a wooden bridge path.

Great place to take a walk about 15~20mins. During the winter season, you could see pack of snow. Fresh air. Not many places (1100m) like this go up by cars. Recommend to go.

Great for hiking. The nature and scenery here is beautiful. As you're pretty high up it is cold so bring warm clothes between October to April. And sturdy footwork. The views are lovely and the air so so fresh - what a pleasure to soak it in. If you're coming by car: the parking lot is not very large so you may need to park on the side of the road, which seems to be quite normal for the locals judging from our visit.

We went there during winter where we can hardly distinguished the types of trees albeit the signages. But still wet like it. The background is still awesome to take photos. The pathway was well maintained and there were segments where they make it bigger for photo takings (so don't block or hog others 😊)

Going this place during winter. Very reccomended if you like to see view like Narnia movie. All white of course. And please wearing thick cloth during winter. Fleece, heatech and of course coat.
