Hwarok Cave (Jade Cave)

This cave is huge, it has store and playground inside also. The temperature is around 15 degree year-round so it’s best to come here in summer time. If you’re Chungchu citizen then you can get a discount on the ticket as well. They also have kayak for a short distance, not bad to give it a try.

Very well planned place with variety of themes. I could not believe they managed planting and having sharks in the cave.
Best experience was the canoe in the cave lake!

I had never been to a cave before, this was definitely worth being my first cave visit. I loved everything that you could see, there are many built in sights, like light animals, glow painted walls, a gift shop and more. However, they also kept many of the mining tools for people to see. Definitely worth giving it a visit. You can even Kayak there, but you will get a little wet, so be prepared and due to being a cave the temperature is cooler than that of outside by about ten degrees.

A date place as well given that there is a cafe, that serves drinks and food. It is also fun for the whole family. Inside the cave there is rock painting and an arcade.

The cave that used to be used as a jade mine has been turned into a tourist destination The aisle is very wide and easy to walk, so wheelchairs can enter. The biggest feature of this place is that it has a small pond(?) in the cave where you can paddle a small canoe there(up to 3 people). And they sell wine, etc., but now there seems to be little chance to sample inside because of COVID-19. The pee is 10,000 won per person.

Loved this place. I spent 3 hours walking around.

Worth the visit? You get to learn a tad bit of the miners life, but is it a must go? - not really for me.

Nothing exciting, just cave, and a lot of LED lights with modern inspiration (i think it is for the kids)

Lovely cave. Habe lots of activities better to take coat. 13°C in there.

Cave is good. Kayak experience was good. Clean and managed . Total fare 10000 (2021 dec) including entrance and kayak.
Kids will like it. Wine experience area was closed though.

Its mining caves. Nice for children. There is small boating experience inside the caves and some attractional points like heating centre, old cultured wine drinking stop as well as shop ( like Pirates of carabian movie). Overall I cant write everything here but its enjoyable. and the entry fee is around 12000 won per adult person including the boating ride.

As are most deep underground places, this cave is cold and wet and dark. Go prepared with a thick jacket. Despite this, I really enjoyed the historical pictures and captions. The rowboat was my favorite part, though if you're not familiar with how to row or don't have much arm strength, it might not be for you.

It is cold so bring a winter jacket but it is super dun

자연적인 동굴은 아닙니다..
활옥동굴은 채굴을 위해 뚫은 광산인데,
폐광된 이후 리모델링을 거쳐 일반인에게 개방된 동굴 입니다.
그래서 인지 입구도 넓고, 평탄하게 되어있어 들러보기 편리 합니다.
여러곳을 아기자기하게 잘 꾸며놓았네요.,
와인저장고도 있고, 고추냉이도 키우고, 기념품점도 있고, 오락실도 있고, 카페 등등 몇가지 편의시설도 동굴 내에 있습니다.
이곳에서는 많이 크지않은 호수가 동굴 내에 있어요.
거기서 투명한 카약을 탈수있습니다..
입장료 1만원, 입장료+카약 15,000원 입니다..
대략 1시간 정도면 다 들러볼수 있습니다..

친구의 권유로 가게되었는데 다양한 볼거리와 활석광 채굴에대한 지식을 습득하는게기가되었고. 동굴내에 있는 보트도 타보고 물속에는 칠갑상어가 떼지어 다니는것을 보는등유익했고 같이 동행했던 친구들이 동굴관광한날 꿀잠을 잤다 고해서 잘다녀왔다고 생각되어 안가보신분들에게 추천합니다 ㅎㅎ
