This was a great park and museum, very well done, informative and entertaining! This monument to independence was a great reminder of what the independence of a nation can and does mean! Coming from a country myself where our Independence is celebrated fervently, I am happy to see how proud and meaningful it is to South Korea as well! The exhibits were well thought out, cleverly done in places, and take you linearly through the independence movement and history of the great nation of South Korea! Kudos to the designers with interactive, educational, and historically significant moments captured vividly, expressing the emotion involved with the strife associated with gaining one's own independence for their nation! Kids and adults alike can learn and be taken aback by the spectacle of what it means to be FREE!

The Independence Hall of Korea looks mesmerizing and ecstatically beautiful the day we went there. It was totally covered with snow. No matter how far your eyesight 👁 goes , you will see only snow, snow and snow. For a moment i felt like i am in some kind of snow festival area. The place is quite and calming. Mountains and trees were covered with snow.
Now I have a habit of searching about places and researching about them before i go there. I see the reviews and the pictures and everything so that my money, time and energy doesn’t go to waste. So I searched about this place and i saw a couple of pictures and the place seems to me beautiful but the pictures are of different season and there’s no winter pictures, so at first i was scared whether we should go there or not in winter but i am glad we made the decision of taking the risk of going there. To my amazement we did right. It was beautiful!
Now coming to the inside of the Hall there are a number of halls, it was a huge complex so we were able to see only 6 halls. The pictures and videos you can watch below👇🏻
The place has a huge parking lot with 2000-3000 korean won. And the entrance fee to the Hall is free free free😎

Good museum, has a lot of stuff to look at and interact with. The vehicle ride there was fun but be aware during summer. Very hot in the open spaces also good stores to buy and dine at but can get too crowded.

An amazing land dedicated to the Independence of the Korea Country. I would imagine that this goes for both North and South Korea. You go through many different buildings that show the history and importance of the independence that Korea has gained from Japan and China. The land itself is just beaultiful to see. And they have 815 South Korean flags to signify that importance of August 18 the Korean Liberation day. Definitly make your way there if you get the chance.

Amazing place! So much to see and very nicely curated. Exhibits are in both Korean and English. 8 buildings in back of the main also with a live reality theater. You might get teary eyed walking through the various exhibits as some of them can evoke strong emotions as you experience Koreans vast history of achievements and it's humanitarian lows that were envoked upon the people of Korea. Mansae!

Really nice experience for my history loving child. You need some few hours to actually look through. We did not have much time and couldn't really look everything we wanted. Has plenty of fun activities so the kids can get engaged here and there.

Warning- it is farther than you think from the parking. Lol

* it is free but there's minimal parking fee.(something like 2 dollars i believe)

Very beautiful. I plan to return here again another day when I have more time to visit all the exhibition. The amount of historical knowledge here about Korea and the Korean people makes this a place Everone should visit.

Actually pretty cool, a lot of impressive statues, buildings, et cetera complemented by very robust and engaging indoor exhibits. I went on a pretty drizzly day, and would recommend looking for some good weather as about half of what can be enjoyed here will benefit from nice weather.

Wow! Great spot…much like our National Mall. Basically, the entire history of Korea emerging through occupation and conquest, and the foundation of the nation it is today. This is really a multi day trip, because of all the information.
Great day to go, right before Liberation Day. Will go back when the opportunity presents itself…lots to see and learn!!

If you plan to visit cheonan add this place to ur must visit list. This museum is large and separated in different sections. There's a 3D/5D theatre where they telecast a 15mins history related modern movie. Here you can learn about the history of korea. It also has a huge park with nice environment so you can plan for a picnic here.
