Whale Cultural Village

Dwell into Korea in 70’s in a well established mini Park , Bit afar from the museum but quite a good place to visit especially for having a Good Photoshoot 😉

I learned lots of Cultural facts and history here. Around this place there is many options to enjoy the time, like restaurants, museum, etc...

Beautiful place. Worth a visit for sure.
I really like appreciate the effort to educate kids and people about how whale hunting was done and how people have evolved but it’s disappointing to know that whale meat is sold around this part of the town.
One can enjoy good food (other than whale meat) at a reasonable cost. Do try Isaac toast (I simple loved it).
You can get a bus easily however the frequency is quiet less. Refer to your travel apps for more assistance.

I really enjoyed going back in time to see how was Korea in the past from how the the stores used to look to playing traditional games and eating lunch box to wearing old school uniform. But I must say about he uniforms they have limited sizes for female foreigners 😔 the skirt barely fit me and the upper part I couldn't even close it. That's my only complain. Other than that I really recommend going 👍🏻

Very nice place to walk around and enjoy the scenery without having to pay.

In this museum, got mini replica town to give ideas how this place looks like many years ago. Probably 50 years ago. Beside that, there is 5D whale museum, a few kind of whale monument.

You can see the 1960-80's of . Also you can rent cloth of 70's and take pictures inside. There is cafe, restaurants, souvenir shop..etc. After watching here visit Whale square and 'whale statues park' it is worth it

I love whales and dolphins, they are adorable and now we need to protect them from being extinct. Although I know all of these, it was a nice expererience to visit the village. I can see how the Koreans used to live back in 70~80s, and the Ulsan folks came to find themselves attached to whales and dolphins. Now that whaling has almost been prohibited, some can find it disturbing to see the way they exhibit the whaling culture of this neighborhood. However, if you accept the fact that it is a part of their past, I assure you it could be another learning experience of a culture.

Little bit crowded... especially due to so many cars... but finally it's a nice place to enjoy a Sunday sunny day together with family

Good place for picnic. And have experienced time trevel of 1970~80. There were famous town for whale industry at that season. But not anymore because can't catch whale anymore by international agreement. Also There are 4D theater to meet whale on Surrounded screen.
