Southside Cafe

What a lovely cafe! The owner is so nice and speaks great English.
We ordered dirty chai lattes and shared a tiramisu. The dirty chai lattes were really delicious. The tiramisu was shaped like the gassho style houses, which I thought was super cute. It also tasted really good! I also grabbed a chocolate chip cookie with nuts to eat on my train ride home and that was really good too. We also tried the spinach latte and it was yummy!! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it kind of tasted like matcha. Such a great option if you don’t want any caffeine, but you want a latte.
Highly recommend stopping by here if you are visiting Shirakawago and she is open.
I’m so happy we were able to grab a drink and a sweet here. There are some seats inside and she had a small table with two chairs outside also.

I tried both of the smoothies (kiwi and berry), both taste amazing! Tiramisu tastes great as well. Really wished I try the coffee but I just had finished another cup 😅 The person speaks great English, she is really nice!

Have visited Shirakawago twice and can honestly say that it’s not just in Shirakawago…Southside hands down does some of the best beef pies in Japan. Can’t recommend visiting here for a coffee break highly enough!

The owner is also extremely kind and makes you feel so comfortable!

Lovely little cafe on the outskirts of the town which has delicious coffee. Also really enjoyed the beef pie.

Super friendly owner who speaks perfect English. Excellent coffee and Hida beef meat pies. Loved our brief stop there.

Very good place to take a drink or some sweet foods, I recommend to take a rest here during your Shirakawago trip and eat you dessert here at South side coffee, the owner is really nice !!!!

Please check this place out if you're visiting Shirakawa. The woman running the place is very friendly and the coffee and tiramisu are great.

Cool coffee and Nice cafe

J’ai pris un latte au sesame (sans café) qui était très original et super bon ! Le café est également excellent. Le tiramisu en forme de maison est aussi bon que beau. La serveuse est très gentille et parle très bien anglais. Parfait pour une petite halte.

ร้านกาแฟเล็ก อยู่ใกล้ลานจอดรถ อีกด้านของหมู่บ้าน ด้านนี้จะมีนักท่องเที่ยวค่อนข้างน้อย เพราะอยู่ท้ายหมู่บ้าน ทำให้ ไม่ต้องรอคิวนานทั้งที่เป็นวันหยุดสุดสัปดาห์ ร้านตกแต่งน่ารัก เจ้าของร้านสามารถสื่อสารด้วยภาษาอังกฤษได้เป็นอย่างดี
มีเมนูสำหรับเด็กด้วย กาแฟร้อนรสชาติดี ทานง่าย ไม่ขม สามารถนั่งจิบกาแฟชมวิวภูเขาหลังร้านได้เพลินๆ ถ้าเทียบกับร้านในหมู่บ้านที่คิวยาว คนเยอะ ร้านนี้ก็น่าจะเป็นทางเลือกที่ดีอีกทาง เพราะกาแฟอร่อย วิวสวย ราคาไม่แพง ที่สำคัญไม่ต้องรอนาน ที่นั่งมีน้อย เดือนเมษายน ด้านหน้าร้านมีซากุระบานสวยงามมาก

飛騨牛ミートパイを食べたかったけど、お腹いっぱいだったので、ドリンクのみ。三つ小屋を見てから、ほっと温まることができるカフェです。ほうれん草ラテがびっくりするくらい抹茶ラテみたいな風味で美味しくいただきました。オーナーの方もフレンドリーで、よかったです。席は中にテーブルが１つだけですが、テイクアウトもできるのでいいかなと思います✨

名前の通り白川郷の南にある小さなカフェ。
落ち着いた雰囲気の店内で、美味しいコーヒーやラテをいただくことができます。観光中心部から少し離れていますが、この辺り一体の景色は足を伸ばしてでも見る価値があると思います。何よりオーナーさん含めてお店のロケーション、コーヒーの味、店内の雰囲気が素晴らしく、今度から白川郷を訪れる度に立ち寄ってみようと思いました。

お店の名前のとおり白川郷最南端カフェ。
キウイのスムージーを頼みました。暑いなか歩いた身体に酸味がちょうど良く美味しく頂けました。

5/5、たまたま立ち寄ったのですが、素敵過ぎるお店＆オーナー様でした。白川郷を訪れる方、みなさんにお勧めしたいです。
インスタも拝見したのですが、お子様も歓迎のよう。通りで、我が子たちに優しくしていただけたわけですね。
なかなか行けないからこそ、またすぐにでも行きたいお店です。
またオーナー様と四国トークしたいです♪

美味しいコーヒー☕(地元の牛乳を使ったラテやモカがおすすめ)と美味しいクッキーをいただきました！
こじんまりとした明るく落ち着く空間で、ちょっと一息つくのにおすすめです。建屋は小さくても茅葺き屋根の文化財とのこと。
外の景色を見ながら近くの撮影スポットも教えてもらうなど、親切で親しみやすいいいお店です。

白川郷散策で訪問させていただきました。
