Toyota Shirakawa-Go Eco-Institute

Beautiful location in the mountains, around 10 min drive from Shirakawago village. Rooms were simple but super clean and cozy, we had a lovely stay. Indoor and outdoor onsen were both very nice. Loved the loungewear, tea etc. We were there for the winter illumination lights up as part of a tour and it added to the entire experience.

A great hotel in the Shirakawa-go area. The food was delicious and featured the famous-in-Japan Hida beef. Staff were friendly and helpful. The building is modeled after the grass-roofed houses, but the rooms and roof are fully insulated, warm, and have really nice layouts and view. There are also many activities you can sign up for, including snow shoe hikes (even OK for young children) and others. The hot spring baths are also fantastic, especially the outdoor one where you can luxuriate in hot water, stare up at the stars and feel the snow falling on your face in winter.

It is not easy to provide accommodation and restaurant services in such a snowy and remote region, especially in winter. We stayed there for two nights, and really enjoyed the dinner, breakfast, and their services. I especially liked their white grape juice. This is an excellent resort and we hope to visit again in the future.

Great experience and eco friendly lodging. You can see the jungle and mountains from your room.

French cuisine (洋食) is served instead of standard Japanese meal (和食).

The food was amazing I can’t believe by have amazing French cuisine in such a far off place.

Great staff. Comfy rooms. Restaurant dinners were superb. Breakfast just ok. But it was the really fantastic staff that made out stay so enjoyable

很幸運的在住宿期間碰到下雪，參見夜間森林健走活動，在無人的雪地森林裡感受無光害的環境，我們在空地堆雪人、點蠟燭、導覽者還替每個人準備了一杯熱奶茶，讓人倍感溫馨！

晚餐也讓人十分驚艷，這裡的員工、活動的導覽者都很親切，如果有來這裡真的非常推薦參加飯店的學習活動！
