A real sleeper day-trip destination within Kanto region. The place has an air of nostalgic Japanese tourist destination, and good amount of eating options in the area. The lake is man-made, but the scenery and the various boating/fishing activities are available. You can rent a full fishing gear, and the cost is very reasonable for a tourist destination. If Mt. Takao is crowded, consider this location, which is slightly further into the mountains.

Great place to enjoy. You can have a boat ride and there are few restaurants. Parking is not free.
