日蓮聖人の高座石説法の霊跡。この地は、今の日蓮宗の来佛山上行寺の元の寺院跡であるといわれています。それより前からここに真言宗の寺がありましたが、南部波木井氏の案内で日蓮聖人が八ヶ岳登山をされた折り、日蓮聖人の説法によって真言宗から日蓮宗に改宗して上行寺となったといわれています。そして、上行寺は移転され（ 山梨県北杜市大泉町西井出２６６）、今では大きな石と石仏や日蓮菩薩(ぼさつ)の石碑が残されています。
