Friendly staffs, excellent activities that hotel hosted/created, good location, nice facilities- after 8 days-stay, I'm really reluctant to go home, having a extraordinary travel experience here, thank you and wish I could be back soon.

One of my favorite hotels in Japan. Staff is very friendly. There are some nice free services for the guests, such as local wine tasting at lobby, forest guide walk in the morning, public bath(in-side and out-side), indoor pool , take-out coffee and so on. If breakfast in YY grill is included in your stay, you can enjoy variety of fresh local vegetables and fruits. My family has visited this hotel many times and it’s always satisfactory for us. There is shuttle bus from Kobuchizawa station.

I had a wonderful wedding in this place. Thank you for the hotel staffs and the photographer given an unforgettable memory to us. The resort was amazing with a beautiful chapel. I was there 8 years ago, I hope everything is still fine. Wish to visit again during our anniversary.

I have stayed here a few times, but I have also come here just to go to the giant wave pool. The pool also has a sauna, an indoor/outdoor jacuzzi and two kids' play areas, which include a water and ball pool, three slides and other small attractions. The rooms are great and spacious. I stayed there one time when my daughter was under two years old for my wife's birthday. We dropped her off at a place that takes care of kids and went to dinner all on the hotel's grounds. They also have a nice wine bar and grill on the hotel grounds. If you want to stay in a forested area and still have really nice amenities, then I truly recommend this hotel. Also, they have an outdoor recreation area behind a wing of the the hotel for older kids, which my daughter will probably go walking among the trees in this great area next year. I almost forgot to mention that there are many shops and restaurants as you walk outside between the two wings of the hotel's rooms. It is fairly close to the Kobuchizawa IC on Chuo highway. I think they have buses to the hotel from various places but I have always driven to the hotel. If you take a train and a bus to get there, you will still have many things to do during your stay.

Looks like you're not in Japan. The scene is superb especially for a wedding and romantic escapade. What I observed most aside from an astounding architectural design of the building is the art of service from the staff. This place is great all year round. This is already my fave place.

Excellent place to take your kids and relax. Staff is really helpful! The breakfast was really good with many options! Kids will love the pool!

Great place to visit for families. Lots to see and do, they have plenty of restaurants and shopping within the resort as well as kids activities so you don't really need to leave. Would visit again.

Risonare Yatsugatake Hotel is a Hoshino Resort hotel in Nagano. It's a great place to go for a weekend away with your family. They have plenty of activities to keep young children entertained such as pony riding, tree top athletics and an assortment of craft making opportunities. There is also a large swimming pool which caters for children of all ages - there is a ball pool, a large shallow pool and and an indoor/outdoor jacuzzi. Highly recommended.

Beautiful scene, wonderful services, tasty seasonable dishes, cute decorations, great attractions swimming pool, ceramic workshop and snow experiences.
