As stated in other reviews, it is a small airport with minimal facilities. However, check-in is pretty straightforward along with security clearance being quick due to only having 1 gate for planes coming in and out of Misawa. Boarding occurs either from a boarding gate or using the stairs/elevator onto the tarmac. There was a nice view from the departure gate of the US Air Force air strip with fighter jets taking off from there daily.

Zero waiting, easy access, complimentary parking, a fantastic gift shop, and a charming restaurant—all in one place! A small airport so don’t arrive to early, to get to the gate is fast

Staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient. The airport is clean. This is a small airport, and they are not open 24 hours.

Wonderful airport to fly into and out of. Incredible professionalism from the staff and rapid check in times. Great places to eat as well as a local goods gift shop.

小さな可愛らしい空港ですが、お土産も買えるし。御飛印も買えるし、外にはたくさんのりんごの樹が植えてあり秋に訪れましたが果実が実っていて素敵でした♪またぜひ訪れたい空港です。

米軍基地の訓練フライトを見学できます。最高でした。

米軍の戦闘機の離陸が目の前で望めますが、建物のガラスが吹っ飛びそうなくらいの振動で恐怖を感じました。岩国、沖縄などの反対運動の理由が少し分かった気がします。

2階レストラン内に、有料ですがラウンジがあります。

レストランのレジで料金を払って、ラウンジに入ります。

写真は窓を背にして撮影しました。ゆったりとしたソファが一人でもグループでも使いやすいように機能的に並べられています。USBと電源もコンセントもあるので、パソコン利用でも、フライト前のスマホやカメラの充電にも使えます。

飲み物はホットコーヒー、ウォーターサーバー、そしてソフトドリンクベンダー。氷も用意されるので、アイスコーヒーにしたり、飲み物を冷たくいただけます。もちろんすべてラウンジ使用料に含まれています。

期間限定となりますが、ラウンジ使用料はひとり500円。レストランでコーヒーが400円少々なので、コスパは良いと思います。

そして窓側にはデスクとホールド感の良いチェアーの4席。スポットの目の前なので、到着した飛行機と作業風景を良く眺められます。飛行機好きの方にオススメです。

タイミングが良ければ、米軍機や自衛隊機の離着陸も見られます。急上昇していく戦闘機は一見の価値ありです。ただし、ラウンジ内にも爆音が響きますが、そこは三沢基地の三沢空港ならではということで(^_^)v
