Nagonoya Cafe & Hostel

a cozy little place. i would describe it as homey. the first floor is a cafe that sells their specialty of egg sandwiches (didn’t have the chance to try it but they looked good). second floor is the hostel, they have two bunk rooms and a japanese style room. the path in fron of the bunks are a bit narrow but i was able to fit my 2 backpacks inside my little cubby bunk so it was fine. not the most soundproof place (just from other guests) but other than that it was a good stay. beds are comfy.

Very friendly staff, clean capsules and showers. Extremely good location.
Only downside is that it takes a while for the hot water in the shower to kick in and that they don’t have lockers for your valuables.
This should be fixed in the future.
Otherwise 5 stars!

Close to Nagoya Castle and just 20 min walking from Nagoya Central Station. The rooms are cozy and clean.
Just the shared/common area can be noisy during the night and the sound reaches the rooms

Visiting Japan with friends and got the Triple Room! Lots of space and SO clean and refreshed for a hostel, with single-room showers and toilets. The Annex (hostel building) had a nice kitchen and lounge that was perfect for people to hang out in. Outside was the shopping street so lots of fun to walk around. Lots of cafes but Nagonoya had delicious drinks and I wish we could’ve stayed longer!

It was a nice experience, the hostel is near to a lot of shrines by walking, a lot of amazing restaurants and convenience stores

My family and I loved our stay here. The staff was super friendly and spoke English well. They clearly care about their guests and their stay. There were plenty of instructions and information in English as well. They also had plenty of English-language guides and maps to Nagoya and the surrounding areas.

It's typical Japanese-style guest house living. We stayed in the Japanese room, which easily could fit four futons on the tatami mats and was a tight fit for five futons (normally the limit is four). The shower rooms were private, had nice stalls with soap, shampoo, and conditional, and had plenty of hot water. Bring a towel or plan to rent one. Probably the biggest detractor was that the walls and doors were thin and any noise carried, but the other guests were generally respectful of the quiet hours. We cooked ramen in the small common area kitchenette using the provided kitchen and dining ware and ate at the common room table.

The small care and restaurant downstairs was very nice and welcoming. We even got to enjoy a local jazz group playing downstairs one Sunday night.

Super cozy and friendly guest house in Nagoya's old traditional Shotengai street. Comfy and modern beds with perfect privacy! The café offers a good variety of foods and drinks. Great place to chill alone or with friends.

I would just like to thank the reception for the quick and efficient cancellation of my reservation over the phone on 11th October. The crew was friendly and patient, and got the job done quickly, while overcoming the language barrier exceptionally well. Will definitely come next time if I have a chance.

Cool cafe with a lodge connected to it. I've lived in Nagoya for years but only found this place recently, and I'm definitely going back. Staff are friendly and speak enough English.

The hostel staff is very nice and have good english skills. There are towels in the room, as well as shower products, which are free to take. The café is also highly recommended.
You can get to the Sakiradori Line quite quickly, from there you can easily get anywhere. There are also many good bars and restaurants nearby, as well as a Kabuki Café, which I highly recommend.

ふらっと立ち寄ったなごのやさんとてもよかったです。

ドミトリーも営んでいるみたいで海外の観光客の方が泊まられていましたが、自分も海外に行く時にこのような光景を良く見かけるので名古屋で見かけるのはとても新鮮でした。

アイスコーヒーとナポリタンを頂きましたが、ナポリタンの麺が太麺で珍しくとてもおいしかったです。

店オリジナルブランドの服や帽子やタオルを買おうかめちゃくちゃ迷いましたが、、欲求を抑えて節約。。。

森道市場にも毎年出展されてるそうなので今年の森道ではお邪魔させていただき、おすすめのたまごサンドを食べようかな。

円頓寺商店街にあるレトロな雰囲気の喫茶店。日曜の昼に行くと満席でしたが名前と電話番号を書いて商店街を15分程ブラブラしていたら呼ばれました。店内は4人掛けのテーブル席が4つほど、2人掛けテーブルが6つほどあります。
たまごサンドが有名ですが、他に唐揚げ定食やナポリタン、オムライス、焼きサンドイッチなど喫茶店定番メニューがいっぱい。メロンソーダはいろんな色から選べて楽しい♪
新作のチーズたまごサンドとコーヒーを注文しました。（お食事メニューと同時注文でドリンクは300円）
フワフワたまごにチーズがトロ〜リ、結構ボリュームあってお腹いっぱい！コーヒーは淹れたてで香り良く美味しかったです。
店員さんの対応もとても良く、またお邪魔したいです。
60分200円の広い駐車場が商店街の一角にあり、そこから徒歩1分もかからないので便利ですよ。
