JR Nagoya Takashimaya

The food hall at Takashimaya Nagoya station has an extensive selection of mouth watering cooked food available for sale. Most people would buy and bring back to their places to eat during lunch or dinner time. The quality of the food on display is just amazing. They all look so perfect and appetizing.

At the front of JR Nagoya Takashimaya there is a pop up store for Blue Bottle Coffee !

They are open till the 27th of April 2023 and serve delicious coffee with branches across Japan. The waffles they make are exceptionally tasty but do be prepared for a line as many people will queue for this.

If you like their coffee you can even purchase their blend which they sell as well.

Got the Latte and Belgian waffle

I received impeccable service from Mr. Suzuki. His customer service was top-notch, and his Chinese proficiency was as if he were a native speaker. Highly recommend!

High end department store. As with all Japanese departments, the services are excellent. Able to find cosmetics recommended by our friends.

JR (Nagoya) Takashimaya is one of the 3 towers of the JR Central Towers.

It has a department store of same name (B2 - 11F, refer the pic) and above the department store are 2 floors of restaurants (12,13) and offices from 16 -50.
Then there is the 51st floor which can be accessed by a different elevator with a few restaurants with great city view.

Check out the fresh food section, a whole floor full of sweets and cake shops and a reasonably good alcohol section on B1 and B2.

The groceries section at the basement is one of the best in town. Some of the items (specially some veggies) you wont find in most supermarkets. The way they pack the meat and give is super clean and tidy. Some items like fruits could be a bit too expensive though.

Wonderful department store, chock full of the best things that money can buy! The sights, sounds and smells can be a bit of sensory overload, but it's all so very interesting. If you are looking for something special for the folks back home, Takashimaya probably has it. The customer service is outstanding, The staff will lead you around the store until the item you're looking for is found. An awesome place!

This store and massive and amazingly they have just about everything you could ever look for. Be sure to check out the food in B2 and B1 and there is a Tokyu Hands from 6F to 11F

A train station in between the mall. One of the best malls in Nagoya! Lovely and very polite helpful staff. Will surely go back!!

As a tourist from the USA who loves to cook, I went to the 9th floor first and was thrilled with the kitchen items I have such a hard time finding at home. Crazy busy in the middle of the week, but very friendly and helpful staff. Next were the lower floors for all things female and you will NOT be disappointed! SUCH a selection of some of the biggest names in fashion today and many Japanese designers and manufacturers who are producing GORGEOUS things - but NOT available in the USA. GO! If only to drool over the beautiful clothing, bags and shoes. But be forewarned: these items are not inexpensive. The lower floor of this extensive department store has accessories, cosmetics etc. as stores are set up in the USA. LOVED.this store! VERY busy, but I found the staff helpful and curteous. In the basement there is a Japanese grocery store of sorts: "Food Show". Not sure if this is part of Takashimaya, but WOW! SO many people in the afternoon when I went, shopping the amazing assortment of FRESH fish/seafood and fruits/veggies and pre-packaged prepared foods. Great place to pick up a meal to go and take for a pic-nic somewhere. You can even find a very good assortment of beers and sakes. An experience not to miss!
