Beautiful Buddhist temple in Nagoya city. Loved the bold red colors throughout the temple.

Quite an interesting place. There were a lot of pigeons around the temple and I saw people feeding them for good luck.

The goshuin counter for Osu Kannon was located at the back of the temple and there was no queue to get a goshuin. So that’s a plus!

Not a very big temple but you get to pray and offer incense at the top of the stairs. And it feels very zen just by being inside the temple grounds.

Next to the temple there is a pretty long shopping street with lots of affordable souvenirs as well as local delicacies. Great place to spend an afternoon in.

Magnificent site in the center of Nagoya. This is a temple that is free to visit. You can offer insence or write a wish on a piece of wood that the monk will burn later on in a ceremony.

The site wasn't overly busy when we we're there (Wednesday)

Definitely a must see when you visit Nagoya. The shopping street, especially, has a lot of thrift shops that have great finds. Whether you’re looking for clothes, stationery, or some trinkets to take back home from your trip, everything’s all here.

It's near a shopping district in Nagoya and also near the City Museum. It is a beautiful temple that can be crowded during weekends and holidays. It is also near a train station.

Before entering the Osu Kannon shopping center, you can try to visit the Osu Kannon Temple, here there are also lots of pigeons, you can buy bird food so they will come closer to you. I like this temple, the combination of the red and blue colors of the Nagoya sky looks like a real painting.😍🌸✨

Beautiful Shingon temple. Although much of it is reconstructed after WW2, it’s still an impressive place to visit. The main deity is Kannon Bosatsu, but you’ll sell all the deities for each zodiac year displayed in a separate hall on the ground floor level - worth a visit, after the main hall.

Probably a good place to visit if you’re in Nagoya and want to turn your luck around. It wasn’t that crowded for a Saturday when we got there at around 2 pm.

Best place to buy souvenirs, cheap clothes, shoes, and gadgets. Eat different kind of foods and snacks along the shopping district. There's a lot of interesting shops inside that you can find. Also the Temple is so beautiful and clean. Best to take pictures around because the place is wide.

It was crowded during Japanese New Year, so we did not wait in line to go to the shrine. However, the place is fascinating, and the shopping complex is worth a visit.

This shrine was right down the street from my hostel. Located right in the middle of the city. And right next to street shopping that was huge. I never seen so many pigeons at one location.

I love the majestic image of this temple.
The intricacy of architecture is impressive.
Although I am not a Buddhist, I can feel something divine here and I acted accordingly as it is considered a sacred place. Many people were coming and pray silently.
The buddhist pigeons (as I call them) are tame and love to mingle with the people.
This is within the vicinity of Osu shopping district.
Don't miss it if you are in Nagoya City.

A huge temple locates beside a huge shopping arcade. The contrast between noisy and calmly is extraordinary. It is a must visit when you are in the area.

It's a famous Buddhist Temple in Nagoya. It's a 800 m walk from the Fushimi station to Osu Kannon. Weekends are crowded. There is a big market close to the temple. Many streets are filled with restuarants, small shops and it's very colorful. Great experience.

Such a wonderful shopping area, we visited this 3 times. Lots of good bargains if you look hard, and don't just devote your time to the covered streets. Look around and explore! Oh, and the food. There's a great selection.
