Amu Plaza Kagoshima

It was very clean and organized plaza!
People queuing in an orderly manner.
Have a good view of the Ferrys wheel and the statue landmark.
It was easy to navigate in this area.

Cool train Station Shopping Mall, owned and operated by JRKyushu. Many good shops, including; Kiddyland, KALDI Coffee, Stussy, X-Large, X-Girl, etc, plus 2 foot courts, a cinema, and a free where events are often held. Always clean and alive. Frequently there are events and curated market places. Sadly, there is no art gallery. Id like to see more patronage of local art, perhaps on the large format video screen.

The location is good..that it is located at Kagoshima-chuo...there are two building and there are many kinds of shops e.g. Urban Research, Niko and...on 1/F, Muji,Uniqlo and a supermarket Shiroyama on B1, Restaurants are on 5/F, Tokyu hands on the 4,5,6/F , it is very big and all,kjnds of goods available...Kiddyland and Pokemon Shop are on the 4/F. Bags and shoes e.g Diana and Sac's bar on the ground floor..Godiva is also on the ground floor...there is big sale in Jul...and up to 80%discount for goods...many shops are tax free...the mall is open at 10 am and closed at 9pm....the night view of ferris wheel is beautiful...

Incredible place even after few times visiting it, around this time of the year.
Additions of new restaurants and outlets make the plaza livelier than ever before !!

I went to this plaza to play, eat and travel. You can basically do everything here. There Is a train station there so you can travel. There is a arcade to play and lots of food restaurants there so you can eat. If you go here you should go and travel, play and eat

ferries wheel for 500¥ per adult was great during sunset for views of day and night of city and sakurajima

A big mall, worth visiting. Try the Ferris wheel, you will have a nice view of the city.

It’s very convenient for the Shinkansen and train, buses and taxi are very accessible plus you can go on shopping, eat and watch movies and can also send things because the post office is also operating inside the building.

This is part of Kagoshima Chu-Ou Station (Center Station). This is a huge shopping mall with many types of shops, cafes, restaurants, and attractions inside. This is the easiest accessible mall in Kagoshima, with just about every bus line, rail line, tram line, and taxi service offering transportation to and from this location. Ride the giant ferris wheel and get a great view of the city.

Typical rail station shopping and dining experience in Japan. It is always bustling with people. You can get an inexpensive meal and buy what you need.

It’s a nice place to hang around while you’re in Kagoshima. You can shop, eat at the restaurants and also relax at the community square behind the building.

It was a nice place. You can literally find anything there. It is downtown, Kagoshima. The basement has a great deal of takoyaki and the fifth floor has restaurants with various dishes. The staff was very nice. I asked about a particular store. A s staff (She) came out of the plaza with me and took me to the place far outside the plaza. I was surprised how kind that lady was. There is an Indian restaurant but more like Japanese style food. I was surprised to see Japanese waitresses in Indian restaurants with indian clothes. They could speak English fluently. I took a selfie with her but for her privacy, I am not sharing it here.

Fantastic selection of restaurants, reasonably priced and using largely local fresh ingredients. We enjoyed watching a movie in an IMAX theatre - four stars for that because the screen was big but not as big as expected.

A very beautiful and busy shopping mall.

If you wanted to ride the ferries wheel, please go to the 6th floor using the escalator. There’s a ticket machine that allows you to purchase the ferries wheel ticket for ¥500.

The whole ride will take about 15minutes to finish and it’s a great way to view the city and the famous Sakurajima Mountain plus getting a glimpse of the seaview.

Once you are done you could go to the 5th floor and have your lunch since it’s the food court area. There’s also restaurants area down at the basement and outside of the shopping mall area.

Has all of the best snacks shops in the Chuo end and that’s it, Aeon mall is better for shopping and this for killing time. It also has 2 Starbucks.

The bottom floor called the garden has a supermarket (cheap prices) compared to other cities, lots of different food stalls selling savoury and desserts. The other floors are all shopping related. Also has a big electronics store in there. The complex is comnected to the kagoshima train station so it's very convenient if staying closeby.
