Yonago Waterbird Park

From Yonago water birds park, I can see water birds in Nakaumi lake. I can observe them by using binocular. Various species of water birds were found here. In this place, I also can practice stencil art design of wild water birds. Many choices of acrylic paint color are available to color your painting. It was very fun. Kids must be very happy with this activity. Please don’t miss this place when you visit Sanin area.

Many telescopes are set up overlooking the waterbird reserve, with information cards attached so that you can learn the names of the birds you find. Lots of other information inside; a microscope to look at insects, etc, artworks from local children, bird costumes, etc .

If you are a birder, this place is a must see.
And even if you aren't a birder it is a great place to spend some time. You can comfortably watch birds with the telescopes indoors AND Mt Daisen is in the background!
The guides are extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They gave me a checklist to mark the birds I saw.
There were interesting displays and even bird costumes for kids and grownups too.
I arrived too late to see it all, but I will certainly go again. Next time I will give myself plenty of time to really enjoy the experience.

One of the best deals in Japan. Go to the visitor centre where they have quite a few binoculars set up and helpful staff point out where to look. I would have missed the Siberian swans otherwise.

Good amount of water fowl, definitely lives up to its name.

Costs to enter the building itself 310 yen for adults, but they have big viewing binoculars, places to sit, etc. I didn't go in as I was in the mood for wandering around, but I think it'll be worth it to go in if you want to get a better view of spoonbills, Kingfishers, a variety of ducks and the odd bird of prey.

噂のハイイロガンとサカツラガンを見に行きました。学芸員さんはすごく熱心に色々教えてくださり、見に来ていた方々も優しくて！アットホームで居心地がよかったです！たくさんの鳥がいて鳥って見てるだけで癒やされるものなんだと知りました。双眼鏡があって、手ぶらでいけるのが嬉しい！

午前１０時過ぎに訪れました。コハクチョウは餌場に行ったのか不在でしたがオオハクチョウが4羽居ました。北海道以外でオオハクチョウを観察できたのは初めてだったので良かったです。他にもヘラサギ、ソリハシセイタカシギなど珍しい水鳥もいました。とにかく館員の方が懇切丁寧に教えてくれるので助かります。水鳥公園の白鳥はほとんどがコハクチョウですが100羽に2、3羽はオオハクチョウが混じっているそうです。入館料は大人310円ととてもリーゾナブルです。

ジブリ映画で見たアオサギの本物を見たくて行きました。
圧倒的な知識を持つ案内員（学芸員？）さんの説明が素晴らしく、十分楽しめました。おっさんでも楽しめるので、子供ならもっと楽しめるはず。

室内で大半を過ごしましたが、外も広いみたいです!
施設の方は、気さくな方が多く、説明もしてくれます
珍しい鳥などがいると、モニターにカメラを繋いでいて、ライブ中継で映してくださいます
野鳥なりきりセットや、双眼鏡、野鳥のパズル、巣を人間用のサイズにしたもの、展示室など、色々あり
野鳥好きな方やお子さん連れの方は楽しめそうです!

ネイチャーセンターの方がとてもフレンドリーで鉄塔に止まっている隼を望遠鏡で見せてくれました。白鳥だけでなくチュウヒ、ノスリ、ハイイロチュウヒなど猛禽類も棲息しています。

時間がなく、中には入ってませんが、また、行く機会があればよってみたいと思います。のんびり水鳥観察もいいかも～🙋

水鳥の観察や、剥製の展示など施設は小さいけどゆったりのんびり出来て良かったです。スタッフの方もとても丁寧に楽しく説明されていて、勉強になりました。今度はコハクチョウが越冬の時にまた行きたいと思います。

ほんの軽い気分で訪れましたがかなり本格的な観察の館です、水鳥を観るための望遠鏡もずらりと並びガイドさんも常駐されて様々な鳥を観ることが出来ました。中でもコハクチョウやオオタカ、カワセミなど、特に秋の朝夕はオススメです。

素晴らしいところですよ。レンジャーさんも親切で情報量多いです。

スタッフの方々が声をかけてくださって、素人でも色々知ることができて楽しかったです

立派な施設で、子供への情操教育にも向いています。
水鳥を通じて、地球環境の大切さも学べると思います。
