Michinoku National Park

It's a big area that has field playground, flower park, canteen and small history house (about preserved insect and old-life tools).
There are many various flower and plants here. There's also a board near the plant to introducing the species and name of it.

Entrance ticket cost me 450¥
Bus ticket cost is 1140¥
It's recommended to come on summer or on the bright day.

What an amazing park to spend a day at! About 20 min drive from Sendai station ... a big dam on the way to the park ...I went there on 11 October with my 🇯🇵 friend
park is Quite spacious ... have boating, recreational rides for children and adults ... scenic beauty... flowers ...fountains ... colorful fish (koi)
however, for entry in park, a ticket is required which is about 420 yen ... but free entry on selective days like 31 October 2020!
Parking is 320 yen. 😇🌻🧚‍♂⭐😌

It is one of the great parks in Sendai area. It has pretty much everything you might expect at a park. It is mainly divided into three parts. The main part has the lots of playgrounds for the kids. Huge parking area. The admission fee is 450 yen for adults and free for the kids. Parking area is 310 yen for regular cars. There are various flower parks, lake where you can enjoy boat riding, bbq area, a special village with old style Japanese houses, indoor ball pool, small tricycles for kindergarten level and foot wheel type car ride for uppers and huge relaxing places. There are shops and bathrooms around.
The second part which I didn’t visit yer but saw on the map has eco-camp ground, livestock barn, dog park and several other beautiful places. You can enter from the north gate.
The third part is mainly a forest like area. There is a forest school in it. Great place for students to experience nature.

Overall great place for both kids and adult. You can spend whole day here. Would like to come back again.

Amazing outdoor park with lots of stuff to discover. Nice flower gardens, a Skansen of old Japanese houses from Tohoku and big playground with sports activities for children and adults. Cheap entry, clean restrooms and cafes / restaurants scattered across the venue make for a great place to spend the day!

What a beautiful place. Green fields, beautiful flowers, mountain views and riverside picnic spots. You can BBQ, play ball games, and it's big enough that it never seems too crowded. I went to go see the red bush, the plant. Not Irish women beautiful stuff. Highly recommended.

Beautiful national park. Different kind of flowers bloom here, depending on season. Many people take a picnic, play with their kids in the playground area, walk their dogs, or just simply enjoy the scenery. Recommended for couples or families!

Ticket price is 420¥. There is a discount for elderlies.

Great park for family outing. Nicely designed. We only had enough time to see the flower garden and the collection of old buildings which were from different parts of the Tohoku region. They were restored and showed how people lived and worked in pre-modern Japan.
The flower garden has something for every season. We will definitely go again.

Beautiful place to go

We can enjoy kayak boat, sliding on artificial grass and a lot of alethic equipments for both adults and kids.
We also can see seasonal flower here.

The fields of wildflowers here were absolutely beautiful. There were hardly any people here as compared to other parks like this that you may visit. You could definitely spend a few hours here exploring.

Big, wide, lots of play areas, Sunday food stands are great. There are a variety of vendo machines. You can also do a barbeque here in designated areas.

Park is 50 minutes drive from Sendai.Entrance fee is 500 yen.Park is very beautiful and a lot of types of flowers.From Sendai you can go there by bus or private car.Park has a big lake and boating service available.

Great place for family! Kids loved it!

Excellent for parents and kids. But take your own food to eat there. There's a food court but it's not so good.

amazing place with so many kind of flowers...it's a child friendly,so many attraction for child...many playground and snack corner....entry ticket only about ￥480 and sometimes free in golden week

Not to much far from Sendai city ... Good time spend with kids.. ..

It's an amazing place for all type of people even for children and the people who want to be in silence for them also.

Best place to do nothing, just remain silence and enjoy the environment.
