An extremely pleasant trail and hot spring experience in the fall. Wooden dock with sitting pads were very convenient for hikers young and old. Would recommend this trail to anyone visiting the area. Love to go back again.

Nice, easy to hike trail from the main Jigokudani area. They also have small public seats that you can take to sit down on the wood by the footbath.

It was a nice hike to a tucked away little stream. It's mid March and with snow all around, I'd call the water warm at best. Bring a towel and come just B4 twilight

After the short hike/trail, relax in this free natural sulfur foot bath. A great end to the trip.

Definitely a highlight of our visit to Noboribetsu and a very special experience. Beautiful ambiance of the forest path, the sounds of the stream, the perfectly hot water to soak your tired feet. They do provide the small placemats which you can use to put on the plank to support your sitting.

Definitely worth a visit after walking around some of the other trails in Jigokudani. There is a small waterfall as you walk to the footpath area and another at the footpath itself, perfect spot for photos. The water was nice and hot and there is black sand at the bottom making it easy to walk in. Remember to bring a towel to dry your feet after. They have some mats to sit on as the wooden platform was wet but can just use your towel to sit on. We went in a patch of wet weather in the afternoon but it was still quite busy (see picture), so I expect it will be packed on a sunny day. The only thing that detracted from the walk was the large and ugly man made pipe systems.

This is one of the nicest natural settings foot bath I have seen. Came here in low season (mid-Oct) weekday morning and had the pleasure to enjoy it solo.

I can definitely imagine how busy it could be other times as everyone can will treasure the 40 degree warm water while sitting back to enjoy the waterfall and surrounding woods. Definitely worth a visit!

I really wasn't expecting this to be a highlight of visiting Noboribetsu, but it was great! The atmosphere of the forest path, the sounds of the stream, the perfectly hot water to soak in all combine to make for a really special experience. I really want to come back here in different seasons.

Beautiful site! We visited during winter so part of the river was closed off due to safety but still had a great time dipping our legs into the warm water. Scenery was beautiful and a must see attraction when visiting the onsen town

Absolutely loved this place. It was a short walk from the parking area, and the foot bath area is set up very well.

Digging my feet under the black sand in the river felt incredibly good as a lot of heat gets trapped in the sand and it really relaxed the muscles in my feet.

I highly recommend checking this place out if you are in the area as it is very relaxing and easily accessible.

This place is next to Oyunuma Pond and amazing to sit and relax, water isn’t so hot though. But the nature around is enjoyable if you aren’t bothered by the sulfur smell. It gets dark here around 4 so better be prepared.

We visited this place as part of our Hells Valley exploration, great stop to path on the way back to rest the feet. The water is warm, but not uncomfortably so. Well worth a visit.

The footbaths are a short walk from the car park. To be fair, the walk it rather enjoyable as you get to see the huge natural hot spring next to it. The forest trails are also very pretty!

The footbaths have mats nearby so you can sit down without getting your clothes wet, although you might want to bring a small towel to dry your feet afterwards, unless you don’t mind soggy feet.

More photos and a saved highlight of our Japan trip on my instagram @jayne.tan :))

Very charming and wasn't too difficult to find. It is a small section that they have built a platform to sit and soak your feet. The sand is black and the water was warm in the river but super hot by the falls. They even had some sitting pads for you hung up. So thoughtful. But becareful when you step close to the small water fall because the sand caves a lot and you sink in quite a bit.

Great place to take a dip, for your toes. Went during winter and had a bit of hard time before and after the footbath cause you’ll stepping on the icy floor with bare foot to pull off or put on your shoes, it chill from your toes to your brain lol... Remember to bring your own tower, it’s a complete nature with no man made facilities.

Great Experience!!! perfect for a snowy Hokkaido day. Slight walk out of town (~1Km) but worth it. Seating available.

It was raining when we visited, which meant we got the footbaths all to ourselves. Absolutely worth the wet and muddy walk to get here! We don't have anything like this at home and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. My 3 year old didn't want to leave!

This place is a hidden gem place. The must go place. Very short walking distance to do foot onsen. I almost got an serious accident here because of the decayed fence ready to take anyone life. So beware and warn everyone not to touch or leaning on fences.
