Kariya Highway Oasis

Excellent rest area if you go to the right of the Ferris wheel. The left is a bit rundown. Right side is one of the nicer rest areas in Japan.

This road stop has an onsen and tons of delicious and affordable food options plus a playground and ferris wheel. Don't get me started on the deluxe bathrooms.

An unusual service area that has plenty of restaurants, a doll houses permanent exhibition, a bath house, a ferris wheel and an attraction park with rides as cheap as a 100 yen per ride.
In winter you can enjoy beatiful winter lights. Worth stoppig by for sure.

A must stop service area if your in the area. Many choices of foods to eat are here. Also place to bring the family because they have a small theme park as well! Totally reccomend.

One of the coolest highway rest stops in Japan. They have a full-sized Ferris wheel! The facilities are huge - it's practically a shopping mall. Located just outside of Nagoya, it's worth stopping here to refresh before heading into the maze of bridges and roads in the city.

The pedestrian bridge is rainbow colored! It was fun on the Ferris wheel!

Come back to write a review after so long time. So much impressed and so much shocked!
Dropped in this place all by chance. We fueled the vehicle but missed the rest area at Shizuoka and, had to stop here for a break. I was literally astonished by everything here! In my whole life, I had never imagined a highway service area having a Ferris Wheel, a Carousel and, mini racing cars equipped with petrol engines and so on! They were even so cheap to enjoy! My children simply didn't want to leave here.
Came here in a bad weather and a rushing day. Nonetheless, nothing affects my five-star rating for this place. So much was going on since early last year, I have no idea whether I have a chance to come back here any more. I miss it a lot and, so are my children.

Probably the most impressive parking area of Japanese expressways. In addition to vast fast food shops, there is a grocery store downstairs with cheaper food items.
There is a cheap go-cart course. Children's playground is free. Ferris wheel also available.

just a standard PA along the Nagoya-Tokyo Highway with some entertainment facilities; can be crowded at times

Awesome rest area on highway, although you can enter here directly from local road. Deluxe toilet, farmers market and Onsen bath are the must check. Also don’t forget to try Ebi-senbei(shrimp chips)!

This place makes the American version of a highway side service area look like a joke!
Great Restaurant selection. Ferris wheel, Japanese, bathhouse and more! Make sure to stop by! I’ll never be going to a “Flying J” again!

Fun place to be with you kids. Can ride every little rides for ¥100( till now).

A very child-friendly place. Love going to the Onsen 温泉! Very relaxing!

I had a good rest, although this is PA, quite large parking area to take a rest.
