Atami Plum Garden

Around 8 minutes by taxi from Atami station. No need to buy ticket for 梅園. Although it was raining but the 紅葉 was amazing. This place is with very good maintenance and worth to come. You can walk around and take bus near by the museum. The museum is a peaceful place but need to buy ticket. We entered but mainly to use the toilet there(sorry to say that).(photos taken on 12/15)

Visually better during Cherry Blossoms season but winter time has its own character. Dip your feet into the hot spring for 100 Yen donation.

I can imagine this place would be absolutely stunning when the flowers are in full bloom on a sunny day. Unfortunately we went a little off season and it was raining but even then, it was beautiful. Very cheap entry, only 100yen if you stayed at a local hotel. Worth visiting even if the weather isn't ideal!

It might not be the best time to go there, as it was winter, but it is still fun and entertaining. As the name dictates, the plum blossoms are beginning to bloom, in different shades of pink, red and yellow. There are performances around the park. Food stalls are everywhere so you won't be hungry.

The best part is we were given a discount on entrance ticket as we stayed on a ryokan in the area.

Plum blossom is charming. There’re also some shows in the area, for example juggling monkey and diabolo. Very traditional eastern shows. Good place to walk and relax.

A beautiful place. Well kept grounds and friendly, smiling staff. There was no entrance fee when I went today.

Many of plum trees were in full bloom. Plum trees have different beauty from cherry blossoms. This is a nice park to walk around on a sunny day. I should have tried some plum-green tea.

After wondering Kanto region for almost a month, this place has indeed the best Plum flower as much in quality and in quantity. Scenic spots are everywhere.

The Atami Plum Garden is one of those amazing places you catch on the breeze before these beautiful blossoms catch your eye. With over 450 trees and 60 species, it’s a perfect, must-visit place to enjoy a taste of spring in February.

The Garden is nice but you need to visit at the right time and weather.

Beautiful. The art museum is very beautiful as well. Don't forget to go under the falls and use the free hot spring foot path. We walked from Atami Station, about 30 minutes, a bit uphill but scenic. Caught cab from the nearby Ito line station to MOA

The autumn leaves are very beautiful.
Have several types of attractions and you can also find out some natural caves as well.
One of the best park to visit during autumn.
However the size of the park is small.
And access to it is very difficult for the people who don't have personal car.
Near by there are few shops or combini.
Park is beautiful but the location is not convenient at all.

Garden with hundreds of beautiful plum trees in full bloom. You have to see it in person ......

I went there for red leaves on 9 Dec 2019. A day after night illumination festival, no entrance fee was required. But the red leaves were still looks amazing. It was not just red, it was colourful with a spectrum of red, yellow, green, brown, black ... Worth visiting!
