Tokushima Central Park

Great place to take your kids and not worry about them running out into a busy street. My son and I explored the beautiful nature in the park and then went to the playground and played some more. Easily spent 4 hours here playing and exploring! ♥

A kind man running a stationery shop nearby the park told our group that the sakura will be in full bloom by April — and some of the trees are already starting to bloom near the river and alongside a street.

There are also playgrounds all over the park, so have fun exploring!

Near the Tokushima JR station. Good vibe and the roses are so pretty.
It's all free of charge!

Large facility with lots of open space for independent play and group games and activities, as well as a well-equipped area with many structures for children who enjoyed it. Though it's not welcoming to the disabled. Picnic and camping areas (just a place to set up day tents)

The park is clean and well maintained. There are often cultural and art events held here, and sculptures are placed throughout the park. They're changed frequently, with some permanent fixtures, so you can help checking back for new art. It's nice to walk in either day or night, as the park is well-lit. During cherry blossom season it's a great party/viewing spot. Check out the museum as well; it's interesting and very cheap at ¥300 for adults.

Stunningly beautiful! The park is free to enter and spend the day. The castle tour is 300¥ per adult! Easily affordable by a family but also interesting enough to experience on your own.

City yet close to nature..relaxing!

I just went there on Sunday. To my surprise, there was traditional dance performed there, visitors could join the dancers dancing together, the costume they wore were colourful. I trust there will have performance every Sunday.

徳島駅の北側にある公園です。アプローチは南東角付近が無難です。かつての徳島城跡に整備されたもので、敷地内には静態保存されているスチーム・ロコモティブや歴史博物館、徳島城の石垣などがあり、非常に散策向きでした。
