Amazing and friendly cultural experience. Watching the dance was lovely and moving. So nice to see such beautiful and moving masculinity watch the guys dance.

Inside this building , there is a souvenir shop, the Bizan Ropeway, and the hall where one can view Awa Odori performances throughout the year, displays of historical Awa Odori items. It is a notable landmark in Tokushima.

You can learn about the history of Awa Odori and how to dance it. You can see dances that would normally only be seen in August at this hall.

Definitely recommend you go to the awaodori performance show! It's great fun and you even get to perform the dance yourself. If you're good enough, they pick out a champion among the participants, which was me this time haha

Do make time to come here if you come to Tokushima.
•PERFORMANCE- 40-ish minutes. Definitely worth going for one of the 4 daily performances! It's a taste of the famous Japanese summer odori-dance festivals. They display captions on the screen behind the narrator in 2 languages. They give a rundown on the evolution of the dance, from old times, to post-war, to now. They then show you each instrument's role alone, and then each dancer's moves. The crowd is also directed to do the basic move in the stands (if you're able to stand; you can do it seated if you can't).

•MUSEUM- Models and pictures abound, with QR codes at numerous stations to see explanation translations.

•Tickets- you can buy a ticket to only the performance, the museum, or the doorway, or in various combinations. The ticket machines have various languages, and a staff member helps you select.

Must see if you're coming to Tokushima but not during the Awa Odori Season. We also got the tickets at night which I think is more fun with some interaction with the audience

Even though we did not understand Japanese, they still engaged us to experience the dance and participate. Very well done in helping us understand the culture (on 2/F). Also, can take the cable car to the peak viewing point (on the 5/F) and the museum (on 3/F).

Great place, very beautiful and can learn more about the culture and history of dance. The staff are friendly and highly recommend tourists from all over the world to list it as one of the must-visit itineraries.

Awa Odori festival is not to be missed when visiting Tokushima. If you miss the festival, live performance in Awa Odori hall is the next best thing to witness this beautiful dance.

One of the best show I've ever had, they will teaching you how to dance at night show (8 pm), this is a must go when visit Shikoku

Great atmosphere and experience for all age groups. The show has Chinese, English and Japanese explanation which is useful to understand the history and the background stories. The group dancing was very fun.

Very good place to visit for japanese cultural dance...you are appealed to join them for the dance

This is a place where you can see the Awa Odori dance any time of the year. The performance requires a separate ticket and it's highly recommended.

The subtitles during the performance were excellent, and that allowed tourists like us to understand the entire performance.

Great show of the traditional dancing of Tokushima, they also make it interactive making the viewers dance and also telling you about the history and evolution. Worth a visit

Great experience, children friendly. The show was beautiful and funny. People attending the show are invited to join at certain point. My 3-year old child was really happy to join the show.

The energy of the dancers’ yelling and the strength of their posture take the whole monochrome steps into the higher level. And the interaction with the audience makes the piece more fun

I highly recommend watching this performance if you are in the Tokushima area. Everyone working here was really helpful.
