Yakushima National Park

The tiny, circular island of Yakushima to the south of Honshu is a dense, lush, semi-tropical forest of ancient cedar trees, some that have made the forest their home for over 1,000 years. It was a Stop on our cruise, and was fantastic. If you have a chance to go here while visiting Japan, do it!

This place is paradise. The trees here are among the oldest on Earth and everything is covered in this lush green moss that feels like it’s straight out of a scene from Princess Mononoke. If you’re a nature lover, this place is an absolute must-visit. I highly recommend packing waterproof gear and warm layers, as the weather can be completely unpredictable.

Incredibly peaceful place. Was not overcrowded by tourists when I have been there.

I LOVE IT! I've been to this park twice in my lifetime, and I am still mesmerized by the vastness and beauty nature offers.

If you ever have the time in your life to come and visit National Parks in Japan, don't miss Yakushima. It is the best.

3月上旬の6:00から荒川登山口からトロッコ道で縄文杉を目指すコースをスタートしましたが、日の出まで周囲は真っ暗でヘッドライト必須です。気温もかなり低かったです。川の上を渡るトロッコ道は早朝は川の水しぶきが凍ってるのでとても滑りやすいです。気を付けてください。
途中にあるバイオトイレは意外なほど清潔です。10時までにここに到着してくださいという看板付近のトイレは水を循環させるタイプのため汚いという噂です。ここ以降は携帯トイレを使用するタイプのものしかありません。
トロッコ道のハートのくり抜きは荒川登山口～小杉谷の間にありました。詳しく書くと登山口側のトンネル抜けてから1つ目の無名の枯れかけた縄文杉のあいだ辺りだったと思います。早朝スタートだと暗くてまず気付きません。人も多いので、帰りにゆっくり見るのがおすすめです。
ウィルソン株のハート型はお堂の反対側に立って上を見上げるとハートになります。（木の中に入って少し右に移動して上を見ます）

ツアーはホテル前に朝4時過ぎ集合で、トレッキング初心者向けの荒川登山道を体験しました。
最初は枕木の道を進んで途中から木板が敷いてある上を進んで、片道11km、高低差700mのコースです。　荒川登山口がスタート地点で標高600mで縄文杉は1,300m。
8.5kmぐらいはトロッコ道で、残りの山道にも木板の階段が作ってあるところが多いから初心者向けということになっているものの、普段登山やトレッキングをしない人にとって往復22kmの山道は十分にきついので十分な装備と時間の余裕をもって臨むことが重要です。

遊歩道が整備されていて歩きやすかったです。
子供からお年寄りまで楽しめます。

野生の猿、鹿がたくさんいました！屋久島鹿は小さく可愛い！　猿も襲ってこないしい可愛いです！

새벽5시44분출발해서 죠몽스기보고 오후1시24분에 도착했다.다시돌아가는첫차는 오후 3시부터다.

出張で鹿児島まで来たので。良かったです。気分転換になりました

観光名所と合わせて2日では回り切れない・・・！

スケジュールを組んでいっても時間を気にして行動しなければならなくなってしまうので、余裕をもって数日間を予定していく方がいい！

行く先行く先にイレギュラーな魅力や発見があったり、ガイドさんが橋の下の巨石の説明や、珍しい倒木上更新を見ることが出来る面白い特色を持つ。

登山は長い時間と労力が必要になってぐったりしたものの、不思議な自然や雄大さを実感できる。

屋久島は、「観光地ではなく静養地」という言葉がしっくりきます。年間通して降雨量の多い雨の島。絶えず島全体で清い水の流れがあります。疲れたときはぜひ白谷雲水峡のトレッキングやいなか浜の海で癒やされましょう。

白雲流水峽據說為宮崎駿魔法少女神秘森林靈感來源，親自到訪，不虛此行。步道有數條選擇，走在鬱鬱森林中，細水涓流，翠綠青苔遍佈石頭上，養眼舒暢。經常有雨，建議上山攜帶雨具及輕便防水外套。
租車環島，偶有鹿出沒，成群猴子更是路邊常見。最少住上兩晚，行程較不匆促。
