Guesthouse Keramiek

This place is a gem in Saga. Friendly host who is foreigner so highly recommend to those travelers can’t speak Japanese. The room is cozy and tidy with traditional Japanese style. The ramen restaurant nearby is worth trying as well

I stayed in Guesthouse Keramiek for four days in March. The host, Hanneke, was an absolute star! I contacted her when I made the booking to ask about the area and if she knew how I could rent a car while I was there. She went out of her way to go to the car shop to get the information I needed for renting. She was more than willing to help me book it too. She made the trip easier for me before I had even reached Arita! Once there she was very helpful when I asked about what I could see/visit and where I could eat.
The guesthouse was very comfortable and clean. It was at a good location and had its own parking space which made renting a car easy. I would definitely recommend this place to stay at when visiting Arita (or Takeo Onsen as it's not too far from there by car).

I would highly recommend this guesthouse. It’s a great location near the historic district and other sightseeing areas. The owner is very friendly and she gave me a local map and had many great recommendations. The room was spacious with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The entire place was clean and homely. I will definitely stay here again.

Comfortable place to stay, and the proprietor is warm, welcoming, and a treasure trove of local knowledge and connections. Take a taxi from the station, although the walk is doable even drassing a suitcase. Eat near the station if you come in after 5pm, or stop for unagi or sushi on the walk up, as things close early further into the historic part of town. Borrow a bike from Hanneke, and bike up to and around the dam/reservoir until you run out of views, then head back into town.

A wonderful place to stay. Hanneke is the hospitality herself and the town of Arita is a great place to stay with all the wonders of local ceramic industry. We rented a car to explore the region and loved every moment of it!

Fantastic house with an incredibly friendly and helpful owner. Charming old house with a touch of Japanese 80s interior in the common area downstairs. Cosy and comfortable large tatami rooms upstairs.

着く頃をご連絡したら、表でお出迎えいただきました。
場所は分かりにくいのですが、
お出迎えのおかげでスムーズでした。

晩御飯に出る時も、話して無いけど、焼き鳥屋さんあるよ。
と，教えてくださいました。

清潔です。

こじんまりとしたお部屋で、なんだか心地よくて、疲れがやっと取れそうです。
明日からも仕事を頑張ろうかな。

ゲストハウスは初めてでしたが、こんな感じなら、またぜひ泊まらせていただきたいです。

あ、近所は、有田焼屋さんばかりで、飲食店は2件のみです。
焼き鳥屋さんとイタリアンレストランらしいです。

鎌倉から伺いました。　遅い時間、というか２３時をまわるかもしれないチェックインにたいして、大丈夫ですよ！と親切に対応して頂きました！

たった一晩ですがおかげでゆっくり過ごせました！

宿のおかみさんは　オランダ🇳🇱出身の　モレ・ハネカさん。
日本語は漢字まで書けるレベルで会話も普通に日本語で話せる。
建物は元は金持ちの社長家族の邸宅だったものを買取り改装してゲストハウスにしたそう。
部屋はダブルベッドがあって掃除が行き届いている。
トイレ、シャワーは共有。
お互いキレイに使えば居心地は最高。
いちばん近いコンビニは２キロ
マックスバリュー4キロ
食事はない為、買って来よう！
白壁の古民家が160軒以上建ち並ぶ通りを
散歩するとショーケースの古い焼物も鑑賞する事ができる。
駐車場は4トントラック１〜２台
乗用車はトラックがなければ10台は停められる
予約の際に確認しよう。
次回は家族を連れて有田観光します。
宿は通り沿いではあるがわかりにくい。
電話すればハネカさんが表で待っててくれる。

주인분이 너무 밝고 친절해서 좋았습니다. 게스트하우스라고 해서 도미토리급인줄 알았는데 공용 욕실 화장실 이용하는것 제외하면 왠만한 호텔보다 훨씬 좋음. 렌트해서 이동해서 위치문제는 없었지만 근처에 도보로 이동가능한 식당이 많진 않았음.

ゲストハウスまで細い道を20m程度ありますが、写真のこの建物が大きな通りからしっかり見えるので目印でいけばすぐわかります。
オーナーさんはオランダ人の方？で、とてもフレンドリーで明るくて優しい方で、到着した時はとても安心しました。
お部屋は一つ一つとても綺麗で、お洒落です。
お風呂はtha昭和ですが、とても味があり良いです。
陶器市の際は有田駅と上有田の真ん中に位置していてとても良い立地です。
また、ご家族でも泊まれるような感じです。

気軽で自由で、とても居心地のよいゲストハウス。
4日間も、自宅のように過ごさせてもらいました！
それもこれも、オーナーさんのお人柄。
自由にさせてもらえて、ほんとにありがたかった。
快適な旅だった！

2階には綺麗なトイレもあるし、独立洗面台もある。
お風呂はレトロだが広め。
1階のお風呂も使えるようにと、改装工事をされていた。もうできたかな？
1階のお風呂の方が広いそう。
自分は、お宿のお風呂と有田ぬるぬる温泉（宿から4.5キロ。自転車で移動）を交互に利用した。

朝ごはんは、前日に買っておくのがおすすめ。
徒歩圏内にコンビニや商店はなく、パン屋さんも開店が11時くらいだから。
食事を出すには届出が必要なため、基本出せないのだそう。

歴史的景観の中にあるお宿なだけに、周りは昔ながらのお店ばかり。
とても静かで、星も綺麗だった。
のんびり自由に過ごしたい方なら、きっと楽しいと思う。

Hanneke is the nicest lady you will ever meet. The house is great. Both Japanese and western style rooms. You feel right at home and enjoy your stay immensely. The location is great, close to the main ceramic street and beautiful temple and viewpoint are on walking distance.

ハネケさんは完璧なホストで、非常に優しい方です。ゲストハウスは素晴らしい。洋室も和室もあり、和室はグループでも楽しめそうです。場所は有田の焼き物商店の主な道の近く、お寺やビューポイントは歩いて行けます。

オ―ナ―さんの英会話、少しでしたが楽しかったです。古民家みたいな古いおうちでしたが、清潔感があってとても綺麗でした。とにかくオ―ナ―さんが明るくて、元気をもらいました。ずっと宿泊したいと思いました。1階と2階にお風呂があります。３人部屋は、布団を引いて寝る感じですが広くて凄くよかったです。２人部屋はベッドがあります。また、泊まりに来た際には、宜しくおねがいします🙋🌈
