Airpark JASDF Hamamatsu Air Base Museum

A place for family and kids!!
It's a three floor museum, has food corner, kids playing area, few movie screening and a bunch of plane models to see !!
Loved the live demonstration of the armed vehicles at the rear of the museum.
"Make sure you take bus 57 to avoid walking around 3kms"

A souvenir shop for fun, overpriced to be honest..!!

No easy way there by train, but worth the effort. Super friendly staff and you can even sit in some of the displayed planes cockpits.

Me and my family enjoy it it’s all free from entrance to parking to using pilot dress so amazing experience come it’s all free no charges and the staff ladies so kind and friendly

The museum has such a huge wide range of display where you can enjoy and take a look around. Sadly, some of the activities are closed because of Covid but still it's a nice experience. 👌❤

It is good to visit this Airpark because its free😊 also you can see the other kind of plane. This place is also good for the kids. The place is wide and nice.

Pretty good for a free museum, and I imagine it would be even better if you can understand Japanese! None the less, I know a bit about fighter aircraft and so filling in the blanks etc wasn't too difficult. I probably wouldn't make a long distance trip to visit, but worth dropping in if you're driving to/from Nagoya and Hakone. There's no audio guides in case you were wondering.

We went there on a Saturday, the entrance was free. Free parking on the premises and if you like airplanes, or military stuff, you’ll love the place!

Awesome museum ! You get to see aircraft in excellent condition and even sit in them if you're lucky enough !

You don't need a ticket, this museum is government owned and is free. The museum has games and a realistic plane flying game where you sit in a plane chair and drive a plane on a tv. Everything is free in this museum. Lots of information and a playground at the back of the museum.

good place for family with game and show. you can put on the uniform and get on the plane to take photos.

Really good place to visit in hamamatsu. Just expect to wait a little bit long for a parking space especially during holidays.

An interesting collection of aircraft, missiles and engines used by the JASDF at this museum. A few Blue Impulse aircraft are on display.

A great place to explore and see some nice airplanes, besides seeing 3D airshow movie and playing with a flight simulator.

Kind of fun. Especially the virtual reality glasses. Kept rolling over and going into a death dive. But there wasn't any aircraft carrier to dive into. The staff were very military and respectful. Enjoyed it.

This is a wonderful place with state of the arts facilities. You can have virtual experience and also be privileged to enter an aircraft. I am simply wowed. BTW, it's free entry and free parking. I recommend here always.

Fantastic display of fighter jets old and new! Well worth the visit!

A great facility to see and learn about air force of Japan. You may be excited to see exhibited airplanes and movies, experience VR. Buying goods should be another fun.

The air museum is very good. It contains a reasonable amount of aircraft and equipment. Some machines are quite unique to the Japanese Air Self Defense Force, like the Fuji T-3 and the WWII era Mitsubishi A6M-5 Reisen (Zero). Friendly staff and you can see the T-4 on the runway if they are training.
