Dormy Inn Akita (Nakadori Onsen Komachi no Yu)

I loved the rooftop onsen! You could overlook the park from the extremely beautiful outdoor bath. It was like a little ryokan.There was cedar sauna too. Lots of free snacks as well. I had to book dormy inn again. 🥰

This hotel was awesome. Onsen top notch, complimentary late night Ramen, complimentary onsen ice cream at night & yogurt in morning, personal laundry use (dryer was fast), bedroom cleanliness & staff was so helpful.

If your budget is sufficient, it is recommended to book the Japanese Style Quadruple Room. The room is nice with space and window that you can open. The nature Onsen at the roof is very worth to try.

It was actually a great first experience when we wanted to try hotels and were nervous if they could understand there was a slight language barrier but nothing complicated. The rooms were clean Of course small but that was fine for a few nights and great as well as the baths. We actually really loved the staff and would greatly be looking forward to visiting again hopefully soon enough.

Good solid hotel, with a very nice onsen on the top floor. Spacious rooms. Lots of free food, including ramen, ice cream and yakult.

The staff are friendly, the laundry is free to wash and ¥100 per 20 minutes to dry. Also free Ramen bowl for guests served from 21:30-23:00. Hot springs on floor 11 are also great, with three different pools, and a sauna.

This is a business hotel and it initially appears a little pricy. However, the room had a massage chair, the onsen bath was good, and late night ramen was available for free. The breakfast was also solid. Recommended.

One of the best hotels with onsen that we've been to. Use of onsen is included in room rates.
Free use of washing machines (in the laundry room & onsen area). Low costs for the dryers. This is something that doesn't exist elsewhere.
Pretty close to the JR station
(The only negative thing was there was a half functioning massage chair in our room. If it's not fully functioning, it shouldn't be there occupying precious space)

Great Inn to stay in! Midnight Onsen are not crowded as I do it alone, each password for each person for the stay so its safe! Relaxing. Great and polite service, free udon during certain time, comfortable, they have everything u need but for single bed, my room no view from window as the glass are muddy glass.

A bit pricey when we went but worth it - we wanted to stay in the city so with the onsen and accessibility it was an amazing stay! They also serve free ramen at night which was tasty! The onsen outside was really nice.

Didn't use the onsen which is on the top floor of the Dormy Inn Akita which is well located good value and has free noodles for supper. When I was there free beer was available between 7 and 9pm.

It was my very first time to Akita. Sourced this hotel due to it’s close proximity to Akita Station. Although the facade of the building seems very old but, its clean on the inside. I found the help of Ms A. Tamura through she doesn’t speak well English. It was nice to have a sliding door separated from the bedroom and lavatory. I slept comfortably with the soft pillow and mattress for 2 nights. Services was rendered too. A satisfied guest from room no 414. 2 sightseeing was covered Akita Port Selion Tower and Tatsuko Statue on the Lake.

Dormy is a good serial hotel, rooms and services are good, onsen is good too, they now allow customer with tattoos to enter the onsen by covering it with shields.

Great choice for Akita. Very central, great onsen on last floor. Great quality of sleep. Western style matress. Free Ramen at night. I had a great stay at this hotel

Good location, nice and clean facilities (washing machine free to use), friendly staff. Will try out other dormy inn hotels in other regions in future.

Friendly staff( and, at least some them speak English). Good obsen ( for a hotel in the downtown). Reasonable price.
