Before purchasing tickets I recommend you YouTube on how to do it. There are a few ways including online (Japanese site and foreigner site), through hotel packages, Fiverr, etc... We bought ours 3 months in advance and it involved using 2 computers at 9pm PST for better chances as they tend to sell out really fast.

There are, at the time the Grand Warehouse plus 2 other areas which requires separate tickets: Dondoko forest, which we also bought and Hill of Youth. Depending when you go, there are 2 other areas that are in the works of opening: Valley of Witches and Mononoke Village. Tickets were cheap. About $15 per person for the Grand Warehouse and $8 per person for the Dondoko Forest.

It takes about an hour to get here if staying in Nagoya. There is a Lawsons near the entrance to the park although no outside food can be eaten inside the park. That means you can still bring it in, but technically you can't eat it inside. (I've seen others do it.) There are food and sweets inside the park and warehouse for purchase. Our timed ticket was at noon and we arrived at 11:30am to line up. I suggest you also arrive at this time or even earlier so the wait inside the exhibition won't be so bad. There was about 60 people in front of us. There was shade. Hit up the exhibition first. My partner and I took turns waiting in line while the other explored, so we didn't waste any time.

They began to let the line in at 11:59am. We got in line to the exhibition at 12:03pm and got inside at 12:18pm. There's 2 floors and we spent about 25 minutes in there. After, we went to the cinema to watch a 15 minutes short film. Don't skip it. The film selection does change. There are also areas for kids to play in. The line to have a picture with the giant robot was ridiculously long but if it's not a must you can just take a photo of it without waiting. We finished the museum by 2pm and started to wait for the free shuttle to go to the Dondoko Forest. We skipped the gift shop. Our timed ticket was at 3pm. We waited a long time for the shuttle but you can also walk there which takes about 15-20mins. If you liked, "My Neigbor Totoro" then you will like Dondoko Forest.

Overall if you are a studio Ghibli fan, I recommend visiting. But if you only saw 1-2 movies, then no. You'll appreciate the park more if you are familiar with the movies so binge watch before visiting!

The best place to visit with a family in Nagoya if you are familiar with animations produced by Ghibli. As far as I can tell that people in Nagoya should be lucky and blessed!!

Awesome exhibition, helpful staffs and well organized contents for Ghibli artwork lovers.

Highly recommended.

Let me start off by saying…it was very difficult to get tickets to this place. So please book minimum 2 months ahead. I had to rearrange my travel logistics to fit this visit as there were limited tickets on limited days with limited timing…and i only managed to book for the warehouse visit only. But i really enjoyed visiting the warehouse. I wished i had booked earlier to ensure i would have gotten slots to the other areas of the park. My ticket was for the 2pm slot. But they start shutting down at around 5-ish so there was limited time. If you are trying to get tickets, try to book the earlier slots. Good luck!!!

Definitely an amazing experience. The ticket had to be reserved online months ago (not an easy task). There were two parking lots (a closer one and a farther one through tunnel). Even the tickets were limited but it was packed with people. I recommend you to pick the earliest available slots because people would never leave the venue, which means there would only be more and more people lining up for photos. All the decors were nicely presented - you just have to be patient to line up and take photos happily. The staff was helpful. The food inside was just fine - can put the money in the amazing souvenirs. It could take up a whole day but it was worth the time.

Great experience but we only managed to get the tickets for the Ghibli Warehouse which entry is 2pm sharp. Bought quite a few item in the shop as it is only available in the park. Will definitely visit again to enter the rest of the showcase.

Get in queue for arrival time early! Great experience but be prepared for a fair bit of queueing. Suggest you do the movie scene room area first so that you can avoid long queue later in day, it's the most popular item.
Outside restaurant is good. Be sure to check out the Lawson shop and other outdoor shop near train station. The shop in the Grand Warehouse is great but very busy.

Great start for Studio Ghibli's theme park, it's still quite sparse (at the time of this writing, Mononoke Village has just opened). A few reminders: 1. if you're a foreigner, please bring your passport (a copy of the ticket on your phone is fine); 2. it's timed entry but you can stay as long as you want; and 3. get the milk.

Definitely a must visit for Ghibli super fans (if you aren't, it's fine to skip this for now). No rides, it's for people who absolutely love the films.

Studio Ghibli Park is unique in that it offers no rollercoaster or rides, yet if you are a fan of the films, the Park delivers in spades. First tip is 90% of the cool stuff so far is inside the warehouse. I am very fortunate that my Japanese wife could easily find tickets to all available attractions. Yet just outside you can take photos. We spent two full days with elementary children, which helps to gain access to important features We viewed the new short movie Mei and the Cat is Kitten bus.

Fall colours of red, yellow and orange highlighted the Kusakaba new home in the movie Totoro.

Whispers of the Heart house in which jam session occurred had been replicated in detail, to include the Cat Returns house in detail down to the cake and mailbox.

Princess Moonoke village was a bit of a disappointment, from the film opening, a utopian village that a possessed wild boar runs through to start the adventure. Park offers a village watch tower. Beautiful traditional Japanese log and sod structure harbours a mochi shop Not much else to explore

Final thoughts beautiful location especially in the fall, with a cramped bus to escort passengers to areas of the Park. Ques or lines start about 30 minutes early even if you have reserved tickets. Japanese deliver on a draper level, that can happen anywhere else in the world due to mural respect. For example in Totoro Mei picks up a bucket, yet the bottom is rusted out, and she looks though it the camera angle changes...well you this bucket exists and you can take your own photos. Priceless

In preparation our family watched 22 Studio Ghibli films mostly in Japanese and in English Subtitles.

Heaven for ghibli lovers. So many attractions and photo spot. Enough cafe for a short break. You’ll need at least four hours to enjoy every spot.

We bought the tickets online 2 months in advance. We got the 12pm timing. We went there early at 11am to queue, as there are a lot of people for each time slot. We went to Ghibli’s Grand warehouse. We spend about 3 hours there. It was very animated. We get to see the classic scene from the different movies/animation produced by the studio. We can take photo with the characters of the different animations. But be prepared to queued up to take photos.

A must go for any Ghibli fan. I had been wanting to come here for a long while before the pandemic was over, I'm so glad that it is possible nowadays.

You must purchase the ticket ahead online as soon as it's available. Otherwise, there is no way to obtain a ticket to visit this magical place. Leave plenty of time since you will need that for visiting all the exhibitions available here.

Still pending for more areas to be completed

We went in April and it managed to be a sunny day, although most of the park at the moment is indoors. Make sure you know the ticket you're getting, we got the warehouse ticket and booked in advance.

The Lawsons inside the park was great and sold a lot of Ghibli merch. Also the movie theatre was a great experience to watch new upcoming movies. It was busy and I would say only go if you're a fan. They still have a lot of the park they're building but the overall experience was a lot of fun since I grew up with these movies and it was magical to see them come to life.

If you are a Ghibli fan then it is definitely worth it to come here. It took us the whole day to tour the place since there are exhibits in different parts of the park and you need to take a bus to visit Totoro and Mei’s house as well. Need to buy tickets months in advance.

A really fun place to visit if you’re fan of Ghibli studio, or even if you’re not!

Make sure to book your tickets way in advance as the exhibition warehouse is not that big, they limit entrance per day and per hours.

Reproductions of your favorite Ghibli movie are great, you can take very nice pictures but for some of them you’ll need to make a huge queue (especially for Spirited Away).

As the place is always crowded, be patient for your pictures or to buy souvenirs!

Secured the tickets 2 months before my arrival. The warehouse was so beautiful, i’m a huge fan of ghibli so coming here is like a dream come true. Unlike in Ghibli Museum, you can take pictures here (some exhibits are not allowed tho). You can also take pictures with ghibli character models, but you have to wait in a long line (i waited for about an hour). I went here alone so i asked people for help with taking my pictures many times, fortunately everybody was so nice. Don’t forget to buy merchs before you leave, since some items are only available inside the warehouse

Need to buy tickets one month in advance.
I bought it from Lawson, 2pm sharp.
Worth to visit, but they don’t have car park so need to take the public transport.
Way less people than Disneyland, worth to go for all the Ghibli fans! A lot of kids play area, good to take children there too!

It was an amazing experience. I purchased the 2 PM ticket for the Grand Warehouse and had barely any time left for merch shopping as everything closes at 5. I went on a Tuesday but still, it was packed. If you are Ghibli fan, purchase the earliest time so you can explore everything with no hurry.

Definitely need to reserve tickets online before coming here. It was a fun experience even with the long lines (came on a weekday) to see and take photos. I recommend coming here an hour or more before your scheduled time to explore the park and to queue. The park itself is a nature reserve, very beautiful and peaceful. The queue starts at about 30 min before opening so getting here earlier means you can get into the building ahead of everyone. Food at the cafe was forgettable but inevitable since there are no other options. The milk and cake at the shop was delicious though.

I went early December2022. Great for Ghibli lovers! The indoor park featured many popular Ghibli characters and scenes within the movies. You can only buy a few drinks inside eg Apple & orange juice, Coke and milk inside which the shop also a scene from a movie. No food are allowed indoor. There is a cheap mini restaurant at the Ice Rink next door, so eat before you enter. The children’s section is awesome with a giant soft fluffy cat bus and also has Mei’s living room from Totoro’s movie but no photos are allowed in that section. Otherwise. Mainly is to see the movie scenes and characters. Tickets get sold out quickly online and you will need a local mobile no. in order to get the tickets. Verification required upon entry by Sms. This might change when the tickets are open to international tourist.

This place is a must for any Ghibli fans. Although there are no rides, it is full of exhibits and lots of photo ops with some of your favorite characters. It's a huge park with many different areas, with some still being built. It's similar but also different from the Ghibli museum in Mitaka. See one or both if you can.
