We came for Ghibli Theme Park. However the parkland of Aichi Park, where the Ghibli Park is located, is also worth exploring while you are there. Nice gardens and flowers, an area with lots of food trucks, people having picnics and walking dogs, walking trails through forest, and Japanese tea house.

Here located Ghibli Park. Make no mistake, this is unlike Disney World or Universal Studios; it's just a big park with beautiful scenery and lake where you can have a stroll or jog or ride a bike. The attraction is just a small area located at certain places within the entire park. A must go for Ghibli Studios fan.

Beautiful place , just please be aware , if you want to go into the ghibli gallery or any other attractions of ghibli you need to book previously. The place is amazing. If you are a fan of Ghibli movies, this is your place.

I came here to visit Ghibli's areas, but the park itself it's really beautiful, specially if you come here with kids, friends and family.

STUDIO GHIBLI!! Such a fun cute day out.. the warehouse is amazing but the lines are insane.. didn’t get to see one part because I didn’t feel like waiting for 2 hours for others to take a million pics of themselves 🙄
There are short films you can see and the staff are very friendly.

It’s a HUGE park with a lot of facilities in it. We weren’t able to go to all of the facilities, but I suggest that you visit and try them all.

We tried the ferris wheel that went for 20 minutes and you can get a very nice view of Nagoya.

There’s a bus that can get you to different facilities around the park instead of walking around like we did (which exhausted us).

There’s a lot of instagrammable spots too!

It’s better to visit during Spring and Autumn season because trees are beautiful during that time.

Definitely a place perfect for family outing and dates!

Lots of free places to go without a ticket. We couldn’t book early. It’s very nice walk, I don’t understand why people complain about walking and only wanting to take free shuttle buses within the park—unless they have disabilities? Get some good exercise yo!

Parking ¥500 weekdays, ¥1000 weekends/holidays

-Satsuki and Mei’s House (free viewing from the observatory)
-Forest School | Mori no Manabiya
-光小屋 (Hikarikoya)
-Introductory Gardens | North Garden
-Kanare-tei Tea Ceremony House
-Aichi Arts Square
-Hill of Youth
-North Gate Shop

The park is awesome. I went particularly to visit the Ghibli Park and I was surprised to find out it was only a part of this bigger park. A very peaceful and beautiful place.

A vast and lovely park. The Japanese garden section a has been under renewal for several years and has finally opened. It is very well done and beautiful. There is a lot of space for all your activities. There is a cycling course there, unfortunately, one cannot use their own bikes. All in all, it is a lovely place.

The newest scenic spot in Nagoya worth going. Must buy tickets in advance. Be patient for the long queue in the warehouse

Morikoro Park, also known as AiChikyu Haku-Kinen Park or Aichi Expo Park, is not your typical park.
It is a city playground where people of all ages may have fun.
Visit the Aichi Expo Park for an exciting day or a leisurely stroll.
The Expo was held in 2005 at two locations in the Aichi prefecture, it was a world fair with the theme "Nature's Wisdom" featured technology and innovations from around the globe in an effort to build a sustainable, eco-friendly future.
Actually, Mammoth Excavation and Exhibition was one of the most well-liked displays of the exhibition. There were lengthy (3–6 hour) lineups to enter the venue since the exhibition was very popular among visitors. The former locations of venues in Nagakute is where Aichi Expo Park is located. The names of the Expo's official mascots, Morizo and Kikkoro, inspired the park's alternate moniker, Morikoro Park. I would suggest to visit this park if you really into Hayao Miyazaki creations and if you have plenty of time, it would take almost all day to walk around and even to get there. So if you are only for a short visit to Japan, choose something else to visit.

I had a memorable experience while inside the Ghibli Park. My inner child is overjoyed and should be visited by Ghibli fans.

For foreigners who plan to visit the park, here are some useful information:
-Bring a google translate or any similar apps as it may be difficult to communicate with the staff. It's understandable, as they don't expect foreigner at this time (I think they will start officially accepting foreigners by next year).
-Bring enough cash for exclusive merch and foods because they're very pricey
-Allocate at least one day because some attractions have long lines
-No subtitles for the short film (hoping they add once foreigners are allowed)
-Getting a ticket is on a first-come, first-served basis. Buy 2 months ahead of your scheduled trip. They posted the date of the public sale on their website.

Minor issue: There is one misunderstanding with the staff when I'm about to leave the park. She yelled at me as I brought the milk outside the Ghibli warehouse, thinking I'd drink while walking. I was just taking a picture of the beautiful bottle behind the rays of the sunset (see the attached photo). I don't have a plan to drink while walking because it's inappropriate for the Japanese culture to eat or drink while walking. Luckily, it was resolved with the other staff.

Based on Ghibli studios universe. The place could be an amazing choice for who loves it's animes/productions.
By the way, check oficial internet page before visiting or you can't enjoy the place.

A wide place with limited facilities. A little bit disappointed after I walked around all the park. It may not be the first choice if you expect to see some beautiful view as same as me.

When you come here, most likely it is to take part on Ghibli Park and the Ghibli Warehouse.

Grab your ticket for the warehouse ahead of time, then come and enjoy walking around the park. You can explore the world of Totoro in Dondokoro Forest. Or Mononoke Village that just opened 1 Nov 2023.

We experienced the Mononoke Village grand opening and I would say as an adult, I found it a bit lacking. I do not believe it is completely finished yet.

We had a fun day. Given the size of the park, if you want to experience all it has to offer, it is likely you will want to plan 2 days to take it all in.
