Fukuyama Castle Museum

very interesting place

It's just unfortunate that there is a policy of not taking photos while in the museum.
This is a historical place, it is hoped that if people go there they will understand the history of Fukuyama. In my opinion, it would be better if visitors were allowed to take documentation in the form of photos as stories and as recommendations later.

And it would be better if all the information on the display items were added in English, this would really help visitors who cannot speak Japanese.

The castles throughout Japan are architecture gems. The ones that are still standing are true survivors. They been reconstructed and preserved. This one I think is more grand than the Hiroshima Castle, even though Hiroshima Castle surround areas are more open. I did enjoy visiting this place and definitely a must visit if you are in the area.

¥500 is Worth it to visit and just 5 minutes walk from the Jr railway.

Reconstructed castle with a museum and cherry trees. The gardens and bath houses are well preserved. Right across the Fukuyama train station with plenty of rose plants. Well worth stopping and visiting if you’re taking the Shinkansen to Hiroshima from Tokyo.

Thoroughly enjoyed visit. Saw castle from train station and decided to take a look before going on to Onomichi. Even though the castle was reconstructed in 1966 the modern interior has a good museum, including interactive exits and good air conditioning. There are also good views from the top balcony over Fukuyama.

Beautiful historical place. In autumn ranging from october to november will be held beautiful chrysanthemum and many other flower exhibition

The open view from the castle tower was nice, and the night view was also beautiful.

The inside of the castle is so satisfying im able to see the historical things,people and events happen long ago in japan.

This is an interesting exhibit at an affordable price. The historical videos are well made and informative. The castle and the garden area have been well furnished and maintained.

The castle may not be as grand as the ones in Kumamoto or Osaka but if you are in the city it is worth a visit. There was an art display in the courtyard during my visit and I found the juxtaposition of modern art and the Japanese architectural style to be quite becoming.

Nice castle you can appreciate without even getting out of the Shinkansen! It's that close to the train station
