Yuzawa Grand Hotel

Had an excellent stay while skiing in the town. Hotel provided excellent service with so many added extras for free:
-snacks in room daily
-waterproof boots for walking outside
-pick up / drop off to train station

Ski equipment hire in the hotel was good quality and friendly.
Will definately stay again next time I'm in town.

Walkable from the main station. The breakfast is totally worth adding to your stay, but for dinner you're better served to explore the neighborhood. The hot springs here are wonderful with several outdoor pools.

I stayed at Yuzawa for 3 nights and had the best time here.
The purpose of my trip is to go to the ski resort nearby.
The location of this hotel is great which is opposite of the train station. There was no difficulty locating it. The only challenge is the slope leading to the hotel which is not a deal breaker.

We arrived early for our check in and had to wait. However there is a big waiting area with hot rice wine and coffee for everyone to rest.
The room at Yuzawa grand is big and spacious and there was plenty space for the 3 of us.
On top of the above, the hotel also provided service to store our boards in a dry location. We just needed to inform them before leaving and we could get them back. Save us alot of effort to move them to our room.the hotel provides boots at their entrance in case your shoes are not good for icy condition which is the nicest touch.
Lastly, there are 2 onsens within the hotels and you wld not need to travel out for that.

All in all, a hotel I would return to.

The reviews don't lie. The service at this hotel is impeccable and the room was beautiful. Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night but our experience was so perfect that we considered canceling our first night at our next destination just so we could spend another night in this hotel. The breakfast was well worth the extra money and the baths were also very nice. We hope to return to Yuzawa someday and will definitely stay here if we do.

Room: We stayed on 4/F for three days two nights. Please do expect this is a typical Japanese style hotel and their service is really good. I think they at least tidy up the room in the morning and open the blanket at night before you’re back to your room.

Restaurant: Breakfast and dinner both have a variety of selection. If you plan to have dinner buffet, please expect their last order around 21:00. Sushi and the ice cream are their best.

We drove to this hotel and there is a JR station nearby.

I had the best time here! Room was on the small side, especially for 7 guys, but everything else was excellent! And honestly, why would we need more room?

A very good experience. Pretty good service and hospitality. They also have open roof onsen which adds up to the experience even more. A rental store for ski and snowboarding just outside the hotel. 3-5 mins walk from the railway station.

Had a very good experience here. The staff are not only friendly but helpful too. If you are not used to sleeping on the floor, make sure you go for the modern rooms with beds. The onsen facilities are amazing with both indoor and outdoor onsen pools. Loved it! Most importantly is its closed to amenities and 7/11 shop which opens 24/7.

this is a great little hotel with amazing natural hotspring... super clean and friendly. easy to get to from tokyo via shinkansen about 80 minutes, then short walk from station. highly recommend. private onsen for $25

Excellent room and dinner, very close tto the station, good hot onsen, I will be back next year!

The onsen (indoor and outdoor) is great here, and for ski resorts there is a shuttle bus which departs from the hotel, and cheaper ski lift tickets to be purchased from the hotel counter.

Really kind, helpful, and attentive staff. The massage therapist here is AMAZING! One of the best massages I've ever had.

Amazing rooms, very nice onsens. Breakfast was not mind blowingly good but still good enough to keep the overall rating 5 stars

The onsens are incredible. Free shuttle to ski resorts. Highly recommended.
